Musical Monday #33

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Trisha Yearwood

Let it Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.

Technically not a Christmas song, but widely accepted as such.
And Christmas is coming.
Maybe not quite as fast as a speeding bullet, but it will be here before you know it.

  1. And as we warm up (too fast) I do find myself envying people with snow in their world.
Despite our Christmas being at the hottest time of the year we do still hang onto the link with white christmas don't we?

  2. All my plugs are blocked at the moment.
But as for a white christmas my son and his wife went to America to have a white christmas one year, too cold they said.

  3. Cut it out, River!!! Christmas is drawing closer quickly enough as it is without you giving it a tug along!!! :)

  4. Elephant's Child; I like the idea of snow much more than I would like the real thing. Cold is fine, but freezing for months at a time is too much.

Merle; that's a shame about your plugs, can you listen to these on youtube? I've heard that from people who have been to America, they looked forward to the snow, but came home early as it was too cold.

Lee; uh-oh, maybe you shouldn't drop in here on boxing day.

  5. This is usually my theme song during out long, hot summers.
I have always enjoyed the Dean Martin version, but then I am a true Dean Martin fan.
This lass does a good job with the song though so thanks for sharing a delightful catchy tune.
...and like EC we here in Oz really do dream of a white Christmas....just once would be wonderful.

  6. Mimsie; I listened to the Dean Martin version, then chose this one anyway because Trisha Yearwood is a favourite of mine.

  7. I am really showing my age here as I have to admit I'd not heard of Trisha Yearwood. lol

  8. Why? Boxing Day is part of Christmas...I'll be fine. Christmas music is always a part of my Christmas...as is classical music...Christmas morning is filled with classical music here within my four or so walls. :)

However, it's still a bit early for me to think about Christmas music! But that's just me. lol

I do like Trisha Yearwood, and her husband is pretty good, too. He's back performing again after quite a few years away from it all.

On the subject of music, River...have a look at my reply to your comment on my blog re Jimmy Webb... :)

  9. Let it snow?! So it was YOU that ordered the foot of snow we are even now in the process of receiving?!

First snow of the year, falling right now. Expecting 11 inches by tomorrow.

Prepare yourself for multiple posts on how tired I am of winter already. ;-)
