Musical Monday #48

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Neil Diamond

Thank the Lord for the Nighttime

  3. I love Neil Diamond. I always have and he's aging so wonderfully well.

My ex and I saw him live in concert (in Brisbane) back in the mid-70s. And during our wedding service (we had a very relaxed wedding - conducted by a Marriage Celebrant at his family home) we had Diamond's soundtrack of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" playing in the background.

  4. Owls! I love owls.

Neil Diamond songs always remind me of my dear best friend back in W.A. I miss her so.
She loves Neil. I would often drop by her house and ND would be blasting away on her stereo as she cooked...

  5. I can honestly say I've never listened to Neil Diamond so this is a new one for me. Couldn't hear all the words but quite enjoyed the rhythm of the song and of course I always love owls.

  6. fishducky; did you find yourself head bobbing and wing flapping along with the owls? I did.

    Andrew; I thought so too.

Lee; he is aging very well and I believe he is doing a concert here in Adelaide this year. I'm not sure when, maybe I already missed it, but if it is later in the year I'll try and save for tickets. Well, one ticket.

Vicki; I knew you loved owls and I believe Elephant's Child does too. I always turn up the ipod when Neil Diamond comes on.

Mimsie; I knew Neil Diamond would be new for you. He's been around for a long time though and I've always liked him and his music.

  7. I had of course heard of Neil Diamond but, as I've never ever listened to FM radio stations, that is probably why I'd not really heard his songs. Makes me sound a bit of an old fuddy duddy doesn't it? : )
