Welcome to 2026! I hope this is a good year for everyone, hopefully even better than last year. Try not to fall over folks, it's not fun. 🌞🎈🎉 Coming to you from sunny Australia, that big lump of land under the equator. Sunday Selections will be continuing, hosted by me , participation is optional, if you can't manage every week for any reason, that's okay. Words for Wednesday will also be continuing, hosted by me , and again, participation is optional, play when you can, take a break when you need to. Charlotte will be providing a colour for each month as she did last year, we try to use the colour somewhere in our posts, either photographing something with that colour or using it in another way. This month's colour is Carmine: Isn't that just gorgeous? And why is my text in two different sizes?
What a life. No wrinkles. No sagging.
ReplyDeleteI would fear the growing old stage of a carrot. It is not pretty.
ReplyDeleteFunny!!

ReplyDeleteHi River...I apologise for the over-kill re my research into the Fossil Forest. I should learn to curb my enthusiasm. Your photos of the sculptures stirred my curiosity and I was keen to discover what I could about them. Perhaps I just related to them in some way seeing I'm a bit of a fossil myself!
DeleteOn the subject of hospitals...I hope your ex is well on the road to recovery.
Love it. And the whole family can lie straight in bed too.
ReplyDeletePoor carrot what a end I'm sure he wanted to grow old in the fridge and end up in a stew.
ReplyDeleteMerle...............
Mayhap I shall check the carrot bed for any in a vegetative state. What a hoot
ReplyDeleteHmmm, wonder how my little round carrots would fit in...
ReplyDeleteJoanne; but not much fun either.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane; I've seen such carrots in my daughter's fridge-"I forgot they were there!" (*~*)
fishducky, not as funny as your posts
Lee; I'm glad I stirred your curiosity, and I did want a little information, but the reader's digest version does me just fine. I hadn't realised it was an art work, I thought it had more to do with reconciliation with our indigenous people, or perhaps something to do with getting on better with other nations.
You're not a fossil by any means, you'd have to be at least several centuries old and set in amber, or something.
Elephant's Child; they can fit even more in the bed if they lie top to tail!
Merle; sad, but these things happen.
Delores; probably only the ones pulled out and no longer growing.
Jac; just don't try putting them in square holes.
Oh dear, very cute.
ReplyDeleteJac; I'm unable to comment on your posts. I can type my comment, but when I click on publish the page just freezes. But I am still reading.
ReplyDeletewhiteangel; I like to make people smile.
ReplyDeleteRiver, this is really funny. Thanks for the giggle.
