Musical Monday # 156

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Elton John

Rocket Man

and the lyrics, which you probably don't need

  3. Elton John is, like so many artists, a sad and damaged person. He has given us a lot though. And I am grateful.

    1. Elephant's Child; I've never given much thought to Elton John as a person. He's a good entertainer though and I like quite a few of his songs.

  4. I don't agree with EC's assessment of Elton John. He and his husband, David Furnish, appear to have a full, happy life with their two children. There was a wonderful special on TV a few weeks ago...in tribute to Elton John and his music.

Just this past weekend he put on a concert in Blackburn, Lancashire in front of a massive, adoring crowd.

    1. Lee; I'd forgotten about David and their boys. I didn't watch the TV special, I've been watching DVDs for months, even missing the news.

  7. I always think of Elton John in conjunction with his love of Princess Diana and his devastation at the loss. They were very good friends. I do not know of other trials in his life. I love most of his songs.

    1. Granny Annie; I like just enough of his songs to know who he is. I liked his tribute song for Diana.
