Words for Wednesday

Wednesday's Words on a Friday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.

If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.

This month the words/prompts are supplied by River and can be found here, so there you have it,

March is my turn to provide the prompts for all the Words for Wednesday participants so here they are:

1. striking 2. deliver 3. insulting 4. coffee 5. spanner

Also included is Charlotte's colour of the month which is St Patrick's Green

My story will appear on this blog on Friday as it always does.

  2. As the words sadly don´t ring a bell in my uncreative brain all I can do is wait for Friday to see with what you come up!

  3. Hi River - here's mine:

It was insulting to deliver me a spanner to stir the sugar into my coffee … but while meeting with the congregants in our local church I was pleased to hear that the striking green used in the new stained-glass window for St Patrick was praised. I wondered what had happened to the spoons … but the coffee tasted fine and I was happy to be there.

Cheers to one and all - Hilary

    1. Great use of the prompts. I had to search for what a spanner was!
