Sunday Selections #753

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Beginning today with something my phone app tells me is a "Mickey Mouse" plant/flower:

Looks more like a Jester to me

here's one with a berry already ripened to black, I guess the colours are Mickey Mouseish

bright green leaves of a newly grown violet patch

but this one has white violets instead of the purple usually seen in these gardens

my aeonium stem began flowering and was then knocked off the plant by a careless someone

one of the other stems is beginning to open its flowers

oleander seeds caught in a spider web between the legs of my "cow" stool

called so because it is painted to resemble cow hide, not because I sit on it to milk cows, it's too tall for that anyway.

The paint is cracking and chipping off quite badly now, so as soon as the weather is warm enough I will scrape it back and repaint in a different colour.

"no-one" taught herself to crochet via youtube and her first trials resulted in three pretty scarves for me.

this was a huge Jacaranda tree in the yard opposite "no-one's" house and was cut down when the house got sold, here it is trying very hard to grow back,

but was removed completely once demolishing of the house began,

not much left now,

and here is it reduced to rubble. The block is huge and I believe will be divided and three townhouses will be built there.

this was the sky, looking towards the city, a couple of weeks ago as I waited at the lights to cross Glen Osmond Road,

looking straight across the road I saw patches of blue,

but looking towards the hills all was grey again. I eventually crossed the road and got my shopping done and when I got out of the supermarket all I could see was blue sky and sunshine.

this is a sunset taken by "no-one" or maybe a sunrise, I don't remember exactly, it's from a couple of weeks ago.

a very bright full moon a few days after the sunset/sunrise photo.

and a smiley face drawn for me by Gen, who is learning to draw circles now. I'm sure Ana will catch on soon too.
