Sunday Selections #775

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Charlotte's colour of the month is carmine and I have a few more carmine or near enough to carmine things here:

The faded spine of a very old book  that seems to have once been carmine

Carmine tomatoes on the cover of an Italian cookbook

a carmine spatula with one corner broken off

and a carmine tulip on my fridge, sent to me by Sue one year after she visited the "Floriade" flower festival.

A recent dinner using three eggs that were close to use-by date and one was a double-yolker. They got whisked, and grated cheese was added along with some freshly ground black pepper,

while very finely chopped spring onions and capsicum were gently softened in butter, the eggs were then poured into the pan, cooked, turned

and Voila! dinner was served. The dark speckles on the side there was dried parsley that I forgot to whisk in with the cheese and pepper, tossed in at the last minute but too late to mingle.

"no-one" received a free pack of seeds with her latest seeds purchase and hopes to grow these white tomatoes.

I found these two beautiful bowls at a new-to-this-area thrift shop and just had to have them

Here it is upside down, I love this shade of blue/aqua/teal/whatever and if I don't win lotto and move away from here then I will buy paint in this colour and transform my kitchen cabinets.

Brother R in Fremantle sent these photos of new bridge works happening over there

He said it was going to take a very long time,

I said it would still be finished faster than anything that gets started here in Adelaide.

Finishing now with a funny sign from "no-one"

"Treat your passwords like your underwear,

-never share them with anyone,

-change them regularly

-never leave them on your desk"

Good advice.

  1. If you do win Lotto, don't announce it here. Everyone will become your new best friend, looking for a loan . Good luck anyhow🤗
