Welcome to 2026
Welcome to 2026! I hope this is a good year for everyone, hopefully even better than last year. Try not to fall over folks, it's not fun.
🌞🎈🎉
Coming to you from sunny Australia, that big lump of land under the equator.
Sunday Selections will be continuing, hosted by me, participation is optional, if you can't manage every week for any reason, that's okay.
Words for Wednesday will also be continuing, hosted by me, and again, participation is optional, play when you can, take a break when you need to.
Charlotte will be providing a colour for each month as she did last year, we try to use the colour somewhere in our posts, either photographing something with that colour or using it in another way.
This month's colour is Carmine:
Isn't that just gorgeous?
I'll keep my eyes peeled for red/carmine photo ops this month! Happy New Year to you and everyone else in Australia!
ReplyDeleteDebra She Who Seeks: that would be lovely, thank you. Post the pictures on your blog and link back to Charlotte.
DeleteI saw the title and the the red square and the numbers. I thought that in 191 days of 2026 you'll be 47 years old. Sounds good, right?
ReplyDeleteMike; 47 sounds good, I was thinner and more energetic, also working my fingers to the bone, working my butt off keeping bills paid and food on the table, and I don't want to repeat any of that except the energy bit. Reverse the numbers for my birthday this year.
DeleteThank you and may 2026 be gentle to all of us!
ReplyDeleteCharlotte; thank you, that's a lovely wish and I hope it happens.
DeleteA very happy and 'upright' year, River.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; Thank you, upright is the most important thing, since I'm usually happy anyway. Just this morning I had to catch my balance a couple of times. I really need to get the garden levelled, it's all up and down out there.
DeleteHappy new year River - may your year be filled with delights.
ReplyDeletejeanie; thank you and I hope yours is too. Hoping for a stressless move for you.
DeleteThank you! Happy New Year 2026!
ReplyDeleteLinda's Relaxing Lair; thank you, I hope 2026 is good to you.
DeleteHave a great 2026.
ReplyDeleteDora; thank you may you worries be small and your pleasures large. Hope you see your grandchildren more too.
DeleteRiver,
ReplyDeleteI will try to photograph the red one!!
Happy New Year with Peace, Health, Love and Empathy!
🌲⛄🎁🧡🎉
Katerinas Blog; thank you, Happy New Year to you too. I am sure there is plenty of red to be photographed.
DeleteFirst off: A happy 2026 to you, dear River. Sadly my Sunday is Tuesday as a fellow blogger who was really sportive had started resuming her week on T-Day. I joined. She had an operation and passed away and I feel like I have to continue this and by now I think many "expect" my week on T-Day.
ReplyDeleteI will try to join Wednesdays and maybe I find something for Sundays to join you.
I look forward to your story tomorrow.
Our kitchen is rather in a screaming red... otherwise I´d pop in a pic...
Oh and: Blogger must have the hiccups again... "why not decide which font-size to use myself?"
DeleteIris; I hope 2026 is kind to you and Ingo. I think your screaming red could pass for carmine. I do choose my own font size, but I don't know what happened here. There is a choice of normal. medium, large and lately I choose the large for easier reading for older people who may not see well. If I'm typing something in "Word" there is a numbered size range to choose from, and those sizes don't always match the sizes available on blogger's "new post" page. As long as people can read what I write it doesn't really matter.
DeleteI hope you have a great new year.
ReplyDeletelissa; thank you, I hope you do too.
DeleteI've had that happen with text too when inserting images between. Pretty red.
ReplyDeleteThe Happy Whisk; I don't usually have this problem, but maybe it's good eye exercise? The red is beautiful.
DeleteI pray you have a blessed and beautiful 2026.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; thank you, I hope the same for you.
DeleteHappy New Year
ReplyDeleteRuby Rose and the Big Little Angels 3; thank you and Happy New Year to you too.
