Sunday Selections #787

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Charlotte's colour of the month is Sea Green

The puzzles book I get these quotes from is quite old, 2024 I think.
Exhumed to be executed seems like overkill to me.

these magnolia photos are from last year I think

usually by the time I remember to look for them the flowers have browned and dropped already.

on the bed in a care clinic when I took my friend who was having chest pains but had no phone so I phoned an ambulance and stayed with him, through testing and resting for several hours. He panics easily and was ready to get up and run more than once but in the end he stayed until discharged.

my first attempt at home made Banana Bread. In the past I have made banana cake, which is sweeter with a smoother texture, but this turned out well and I will probably make it again one day.

After voting last March I took a walk through the Community Centre Park and saw the fallen tree has now been painted in the Indigenous Style, I like it very much.

This quite large creeper is called Plumbago and comes in this lovely sky blue colour

also in pale blue which looks almost white here but isn't,

and the white version.

Orange hibscus, a nice change from the usual pink seen around here,

Here's a close-up, I like the pink and deep red centre.

One of Adeaide's many, many jetties (piers), this one is at Semaphore according to brother R who stayed at the hotel, but I don't recall Semaphore having a shelter at the end, this looks more like the Largs Bay jetty.

a pelican on the boards

and a couple of birds on the railing.

Redhead Riley found a quad bike and decided to have a go, "open the gates, I'm coming through!"

my old digital bedside clock was always ten minutes fast no matter how many times I reset it, so I bought a new one, no idea what those shiny lines are,

I set the correct time and put it where it belongs, looks nice there doesn't it?

Comments

  1. Nice selection, as always,. The plumbago flowers are lovely and the pelican is wonderful. I'd love to see one of those walking about - not very likely in UK, of course.

  2. Lovely post. The left over tree painted indigenous style is fabulous! What a treasure for the park. Cromwell being dug up to be killed...again, is hilarious! Astonishing what humans do in the throws of anger and betrayal.

  3. Digging a body back up for that sounds like a giant waste of money ... Love the banana bread. Hope your friend is feeling better today.
