Sunday Selections #793

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Charlotte's colour of the month is Gold, but I don't think I have any in this week's selection.

once upon a time, this heap of rubble was a house

digging deep to remove old foundations and plumbing

isn't the machine a lovely colour?

I could stand and watch all day if I didn't have other things to do

One day later and there is nothing but a flat block of land. it will soon enough be filled with white townhouses similar to the ones on the left there. Front to back, no room for gardens.

Strawberries picked by "no-one" several weeks ago now, with her best friend and bestie's two young sons visited the Beerenberg strawberry fields to join the dozens of others out the picking frsh berries. There is a fee to enter and I think a limit on strawberry weight each person can pick.

purple flowering sage in a garden near my home, I pass this daily on my walk to and from the shops.

wondering what this is? It's a long thin box that once held a mattress, the kind that expands to full size once you cut the plastic off. I cut the ends off the box and also cut off one long side, though I probably could have left it on, it hides the mess of cords and power boards under my table.

the redheads now have a wall "heater" in their bathroom, a little crooked but they don't mind. It's a reflector that probably fell off someone's bike.

this is a picture from a real estate page, the house is for sale, and the kitchen has a couple of these slots built in for chopping boards and flat baking trays. I think it's a great idea!

the peppercorn trees I pass on the way to and from the dentist have begun producing their berries, most are still green

though a few are already pink

the Moreton Bay figs are also developing their fruits, these are inedible for people, I'm not even sure if birds eat them. The one on the left there is gold.

this long dead stump has something growing from it's middle, possibly a seed dropped by a bird has found favourable conditions. Ignore the two vertical lines, that's the phone camera acting up again.

another of the Moreton Bay fig trees, there are several in this park.

Finishing today

with some very nice wheel trims.
