Sunday Selections #794
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
this is Macca, the twins puppy, technically the family puppy, about 7 months old now, but 5 months when this was taken. He is a very excitable little pug, zooms around at great speed and climbing, clawing, sniffing, scratching and trying to eat any newcomer who visits. When I visited last Thursday he managed to get his nose INSIDE my jacket pocket looking for food.
this is a screen shot taken from the TV, a show I was watching on dvd had these pretty icicle/waterfall lights hanging from trees and I paused it to get the photo because they looked so pretty.
"no-one" gave me a fridge magnet with instructions how to cook a steak to get rare, medium, medium/well-done or well-done meat. It's near the top, just under the starfish and left a bit. To find room for it I had to take everything off the fridge except the oval adhesive chalkboard and rearrange them all, some didn't get put back on at all. While they were all off I washed the fridge door.
can you see the statue? The one that I repaired with the help of a friend. The one that has been "hiding" behind a half grown jade plant. And where is that half grown jade? Stolen. Ripped right out of the ground. I have plenty of them so didn't mind all that much, but I wish they had asked, I would have said yes.
That's a broken branch off the stolen one, carelessly left where it fell bedside the row of mailboxes. I tossed it in the green waste bin.
A car dealership on Glen Osmond Road has very, very shiny, fancy, expensive cars for sale and also has miniature cars in the upper story windows. These are kid-sized battery operated driveable vehicles, with motor sounds and steering wheels, horns etc.
various styles and colours,
even a yellow Go-Kart.
Tricycles,
Bicycles,
and a Penny-Farthing 😀
the sky had blackened quite a bit while I took the photos and I didn't have my umbrella so I hurried on home,
where I found two of the redheads giving their dog, Ruffy, a good brushing,
before they all settled down to read their new books and discuss the stories.
out behind "my" T-Block of 8 flats, the plumbers had been, dug up pipes, fixed them and,
left a pile of broken concrete/bitumen and thick trails of claggy mud in that area and all the way along the side path leading to the front of the flats. I guess "we" are supposed to shift that ourselves? It's been a couple of months now, so I'd say they aren't coming back. At least the mud trails have been washed away by rains.
