Musical Monday # 56

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Neil Diamond

Shilo

and the lyrics.

I hope both of these play.

  1. Talented writer and performer. Excellent song.

  2. That's one we can listen to over and over again.

  3. Elephant's Child; the man himself is worth his weight in gold.

Susan Kane; there should be more like him, instead of all these forgettable 'boy bands'.

Manzanita; it's on all my Ipods so I her it quite a bit, but never tire of it.

  4. I still have the album with Shiloh on it...and it's still a great song, and a great album.

You know how I feel about Mr. Diamond, River! :) Thank you. :)

  7. Lee; sadly, I don't own any albums by Neil Diamond, but I will. I'm sure I can find CDs at places like JBHiFi.

Merle; it's a sad one, but still good to listen to.

Barbara; I'm glad they both played, I had my fingers crossed.

  8. I now realise I remember more Neil Diamond music than I at first thought and this song has always been one of my favourites. I probably remember the music but never took much notice of who the artist was.
You can often pick up good CDs on eBay at a reasonable price. Just a suggestion.

  9. Mimsie; I have that same problem. People will ask me do I like this or that song by so and so, and I will say I've never heard of it or the singer; then when I hear it I'm surprised to realise I do know both song and singer. Perhaps because years ago I would hear without paying much attention.
    I stay away from ebay.
