You all know the ice cream company? Very expensive ice cream, which I recently discovered in small tubs at my local supermarket. I'd heard about Salted Caramel ice cream, with some bloggers raving about it, so when I saw the Haagen-Dazs tubs on sale for only $5 I bought some. I loved it! Fabulous stuff. Just the right amount of salted caramel streams to counteract the sweet ice cream. I would have rated it five stars. But just lately, I have been disappointed with the product containing far too much of the salted caramel and my rating now would be only one star. I went to the website and clicked on "contact us" to let them know I was no longer happy. The link popped up with an address to "General Mills" which I then clicked on only to find a small popup informing me they were "offline". Just because it is past regular business hours or permanently? Who knows. So I'm airing my grievance here instead. If this results in fewer sales of their Sa

ReplyDeleteJoanne; :-) :-)
DeleteOpen mouth, change feet.
ReplyDeleteGrace; that's exactly right :)
DeleteI'm still reading your posts and loving the pictures of Frankie and BB.
That's why I like writing things instead of saying them; it gives me a chance to recognize those landmines :)
ReplyDeletejenny_o; me too, I always read things several times before I click on publish and even then an occasional blooper gets through.
DeleteWe must all have been guilty of that at some time.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I've been guilty so many times, it's why I mostly keep my mouth shut these days.
DeleteGuilty here too.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; nice to know I'm not the only one :)
DeleteAin't that the truth.
ReplyDeleteonly slightly confused; one of the most truthful truths out there.
DeleteThe bad thing is most times you know immediately when you have said it, but just can't drag the words back.
ReplyDeleteJimmy; another truth. Even a thousand immediate "sorrys" usually won't fix that.
DeleteI've always got a needle and thread close by because I'm often biting my tongue! :)
ReplyDeleteLee; I've given up and just keep my mouth shut. People see me as uncaring, but that's okay, I care on the inside.
DeleteBeen there!
ReplyDeletejoeh; too many times to count right? :)
DeleteShortly after starting a new teaching job, I greeted my superintendent when we crossed paths in the parking lot one blustery morning.
ReplyDelete"Whew! That wind could blow the hair right off your head!"
He smiled and nodded.
I mentioned my cleverness to my 11th grade biology students first hour. They cut eyes at each other. One of them said, "You know he wears a piece, right?"
Well. I did THEN.
Va; that's very funny, would have been even funnier if his hair blew off just as he said it. Maybe not funny for him though.
Delete"you said" not "he said"
Delete...nice reminder River....
ReplyDeleteI have a mouth that runs away with me at times ...
xxx Barb xxx
Barbara; I'm going to have this printed on a coffee mug for someone I know who speaks without thinking more often than I do.
DeleteI'm not going to say a word!!
ReplyDeletefishducky; a very wise decision :)
DeleteYeahhh... I figure it out after about a day or so and several angry comments... :)
