Musical Monday # 160

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Billy Idol

Mony Mony  another good beat for walking to

  1. Did you know that the beat for "Stayin' Alive" is perfect for doing CPR? I think this one would work, too!!

    1. fishducky; I had heard that about Stayin' Alive, but I've never had to put it to the test.

    1. Jimmy; this is one of the list i have to help me calm down when I've had an angry day. I play it very loud, the whole list, until I feel the mood shift. I haven't had to do that for a while now, I'm pretty calm most of the time.

  3. I like the beat, but no, this one is not for me.

    1. S.J.Qualls; yes it is, if only we had flat footpaths around here so I could go walking. They're narrow and bumpy with tree roots and stuff, not good at all, and there's far too many side roads cutting in, impossible to get up any kind of speed.

  5. It's official! You heard it here first...straight from the horses mouth! I've gone completely insane!

I wrote a response to this track...but it's disappeared into the ether..perhaps I should join it!

Every time I hear or see Billy Idol...I'm reminded of when my ex and I managed the restaurant at Noosaville..."The Laguna Belle". One of our chefs used to belt it out, at full volume, when he was doing his prep during the day...before we opened the doors to let the diners descend.

Have a rockin' good day and week, River. :)

    1. Lee; I wouldn't say "completely" insane, maybe just a little bit. Like the rest of us (*~*)
I can imagine the chef belting this out and his chopping knife keeping time.

  6. .. I had forgotten how repetitious some of these songs are .... I like the beat though ... xxxxx

    1. Barbara; they are very repetitious, and so is the beat which is the important part.

  7. I have an inkling someone else may have recorded this before he did. It is ok.

    1. Andrew; you're probably right, possibly many people have recorded it, but this is my favourite version.
