Deck the Halls

as sung by my children many years ago:

Deck the halls with bags of lollies

Fa la la la la la la la la

Tis the season for more Lollies

Fa la la la la la la la la

Don we now our bibs and Braces

Fa la la la la la la la la

Stuff the foods into our faces

Fa la la la la la la la la,

(slower) Fa la la la la la la la 'Hic, Burp"

  1. Such clever children. Loved their rendition of the song.

    1. Granny Annie; it began with the older son, child #2, but all of them have a great sense of humor and when you are children it really is all about the sweet treats.
I doubt they even remember this now they are all in their 40s.

    1. Arkansas Patti; it isn't an official song, just something my kids made up.

    1. Joanne; it isn't an official version, just what the kids made up. M started it by rhyming holly with lolly and of course you know that out here in Australia, lollies are what we call your sweets and candy.

  5. Heh, heh! The lady at the Burger King drive-thru gave me a lolly on Monday. It was attached to a paper with a link to complete a survey. I wonder what she would have done if I had burst into that song? If only I'd read it before then.

  7. I will scan what we sang for Christmas in Perth. A ute certainly was involved.
