RIP Charley Pride
I hope these play for you.
I have a copy of this particular Charley Pride album, I remember buying it way back when my kids were little, I'm not sure exactly where it is, somewhere in my kids house, in a big plastic tub along with a bunch of other old albums.
I actual seen him in concert. Very talent man.
ReplyDeleteMay he rest in peace.
Coffee is on and Stay Safe
Dora; you were lucky. I'm sure he is at peace.
DeleteRIP indeed. I hope that he is still singing Christmas songs where ever he is.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I'm betting he is up on God's Observation Deck, singing to all the baby Angels.
DeleteMy father and step mother loved his music. While it wasn't my kind of music then, it wasn't bad.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I liked his music although I didn't listen to much of it. We enjoyed the Christmas album, with the above songs being the kids favourites every year.
DeleteMy mom loved him. She had a 45 of "Kiss an Angel Good Morning" that we played all the time.
ReplyDeleteVal; that is a great song.
DeleteRIP.
ReplyDeleteMy parents used to have records of Charley and played them often.
Margaret D; we had a couple of albums, the Christmas one and I think the "greatest hits" or "best of" or similar.
DeleteYes, it played for me very well. Love Charley Pride and he was an historic County singer. RIP great guy.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie; he was very easy to listen to, could understand the lyrics, no swearing or screaming, a real family friendly singer.
DeleteHe has always been a favorite and was so pleased that he was given the life time achievement award last month at the CMA's. I would hate to think that he got the Covid there but am just grateful he was able to live long to be properly honored.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; I didn't know about the award, but I'm pleased he got it.
DeleteThanks, River. He was a great one.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; he certainly was.
DeleteMy heart aches tonight for all who knew and loved him. So much talent, i like to think of him singing in the heavenly choir now.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; he's definitely in the choir up there now, probably on God's Observation Deck.
