Sunday Selections #748
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by **Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
**Elephant's Child is currently taking a break
Beginning today with some cloudy skies sent to me by "no-one"
it's winter here
and sometimes our skies are grey
I don't remember if this is moon or sun trying to shine through
a very Halloweeny shot
last Thursday's Full Moon, thank you "no-one"
Last Wednesday it poured with rain almost all day, when it briefly stopped I poked my head outside to get this photo of driveway gutter puddles.
on my way home from visiting the twins I noticed more mushrooms of a different type pking their heads up through the mulch
some brown ones too
and a blue-tongue lizard startled into stillness by my footsteps, they don't usually come out in colder weather.
the next few photos are of bouquets of Ornamental Kale flowers for sale in my local Foodland supermarket:
pretty aren't they?
wonderful colours
they almost look like roses
but the petals are thick and when I felt one I thought they were wax
$20 per bouquet.
I didn't buy any. Do you ever see Ornamental Kale flowers in your shops?
I don't participate in any challenges or blog hops, but I wanted to say that your photos are absolutely gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen kale flowers River and thanks for posting these gorgeous shots. I imagine ehty would be worth the $20 as they would last a long time?

I like the gutter puddles. And the blue-tongue lizard. I wish he would have stuck his tongue out for you!
