Sunday Selections 761
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
(this began with a message from blogger "sorry we could not copy photos to your blog" Me:"rubbish")
tried again and here is my newest potplant (I load my photos one at a time in between the text)
named "Purple Blob" it eventually grows about 30cm high and 50cm wide, so I will be moving it to a bigger pot soon.
the pelargonium is flowering again, despite having no watering at all apart from the odd raindrop, these things really are pretty tough. I don't think the black one will flower, it doesn't have any sign of buds at all. Yet.
I have purple freesias,
and yellow ones, popping up
in the bluebells patch.
the white geranium is looking surprisingly healthy, no blooms yet, but after almost a year of no watering it is doing really well.
this is another member of the jade family (Crassula) and I don't remember its name, the white dots are pebbles, the pot used to be full of them.
here is a closer look, you can see each "leaf" is tubular, solid, with a "spoon" lip.
some of the other plants are looking neglected, a bit yellowish, the browned edges on the monstera are sunburn from last summer.
this elephant is in the lobby of the RAH (Royal Adelaide Hospital) where I recently had a liver scan. I have a fatty liver and I'm sure many other people do too, it's a fairly common thing, but my doctor looks at blood test numbers and worries that I might have cirrhosis or fibrosis, thankfully the tech who did the scan says there is no liver damage at all. The scan was so fast I was out of there almost before I went in. 5 minutes.
for Sue, sunny blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
Gillian has found a book! Will you read it to us?
of course! Let's get cosy by the heater.
another one of my yummy home made pizzas, with home made crust
and a couple of fake foccacias made with left over pizza dough
Finishing today with two photos from "no-one"
Last Tuesday's supermoon/harvestmoon (october 7th)
and the same moon early Wednesday morning.
