Sunday Selections #762
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
I had to buy a new jar of pickles recently, this is my favourite brand and I almost always buy the baby ones because the bigger pickles are sold out when I get there.
pasties! with premade puff pastry from a packet. They look yummy, but it turns out the premade pastry is too thick and after it puffed with the baking it was just too much pastry and too little filling. If I buy it again I will try to roll the sheets so they are thinner.
this is what my oven gloves look like these days and I frequently burn my fingers so it's time I bought new ones. I'm disappointed with the choices available though. Single colours, no patterns. Red.Black.Grey.Boring. And I want them in long length not the short ones which only cover the hand and wrist. I may have to visit a barbecue supply shop.
yummy fried up leftovers made tastier with the addition of a little curry powder, fry it in a little butter to release the fragrance before adding the leftover food.
this is my jade hedge which I am sure I have shown before, the browned tips are the dying flowers which I leave to fall off on their own after discovering they are quite prickly.
this is how some people fill their rubbish bins, I guess they've never heard of breakdown or crushing. A strong wind would have that blown all over the road and footpath.
this is from "no-one", a weird looking machine doing some kind of work along South Road which is a VERY long road badly in need of upgrading, hence the machine and an assortment of other machinery, including a tunnel borer to create tunnels of course so the road can have underpasses and over passes and hopefully free-flowing traffic once it is all finished.
Halloween doughnuts at Krispy Kreme, sadly not destined for my kitchen, "no-one" bought them and took them to work.
sadly, the witch couldn't kmake it, she's flying around in the bedroom looking for the way out. I have more witches, bats and cats too, but can't quite remember where I stashed them.
the redheads are excited to have new beds and are measuring to make sure I stitch the correct size mattresses and covers
Riley checks with Jordan, "is the fit good? are you comfortable?" Jordan: "yes and it will be even better with a mattress and a pillow, and a blanket or cover."
I think I will paint the "beds" too, but not black, I'll have to buy new paint.
I love the jade hedge. I wish I could plant our jade outside; it would probably look much healthier and happier than it does indoors!
ReplyDeleteSteve Reed; Jade is a hot and dry environment plant, if you can find a sunny sheltered spot for the summer months it might do better, perhaps near a wall that absorbs summer heat?
DeleteI like the orphans' beds. You're wise not to paint them black!
ReplyDeleteReading your comment above about jade plants, I think I'll move ours into the conservatory. It's a bit dark in the kitchen!
