Sunday Selections #760

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Join us if you wish, just leave a comment to let us know so we can visit and see your Sunday Selections.

Wisteria is now blooming and for the first week or two the scent is quite strong and the blossoms are covered in bees.

Wattle is everywhere, there are several different types, my favourite is the lemon scented one, but that tree was cut down several years ago when the block was sold and townhouses were built there.

this is a close up of the blossoms in the image above.

I opened my front door one day last week to see two ducks on the grass, probably hoping to pick up oats left behind by the mourning doves who get fed by the upstairs neighbour.

these next few pictures are for "The Happy Whisk" who has said she would like to see my "skully" people. These are my four Day of the Dead people who live on top of the DVD shelves,

next to them is the Witch Mansion with 20 small witches,

to the left is this skull with a climbing rose growing on it

and on the end this "candleabra" (spelling?), battery operated with three candle shaped lamps.

on the bookshelf behind the front door, this one has a pattern of vines and roses on it,

a plastic Halloween cup, rescued from the pile destined for the rubbish bin and thoroughly washed.

this one is my favourite, a skull covered in more skulls and tiny bones.

wearing his Fedora, this is "Raymond Reddington" from the TV series The Blacklist.

How often does one see purple scaffolding?

coffee o'clock! outside>

the Please Say Please specialty coffee shop in Grenfell Street in the city.

I've started my Christmas shopping,

this is for my great grandson, who loves tools and machinery and working out how things work at only 2 years old.

this beautifully coloured rosebud

will look like this when fully opened

look at these two, growing like weeds

and loving each other.

finishing with this month's calendar page.

Comments

  1. I like your witches' mansion. The open rose bloom is quite different to the bud - so pretty.

  2. Today the clock changes one hour for many of us, with Daylight Savings. So does Coffee O'Clock move as well?
