Well that was no fun at all
I have been to the dentist. Yes, again, and again and again and again...
I have been without several teeth in my lower jaw for a very long time now, using the lower front teeth to do any necessary chewing. Those teeth eventually became so worn down they were only half the original height. So I had crowns attached.
Then a mould was taken a week later to begin construction of a denture. Back I went today, in the fine drizzle and cold wind, expecting a denture, but no! the dentist took another mould to compare with the first one, but this time a different medium was used and instead of a slight tingling there was definite stinging at first and then a burning feel.
Of course the mould has to stay in until the medium sets so my discomfort became a little extreme. It seems I am allergic to one of the compounds. It was fiery! Oh, the relief when I was allowed to rinse and spit. I mentioned it to the dentist so he knows now that a different medium should be used if needed.
I have another appointment next Monday and then another a couple of weeks later to begin root canal treatment on a tooth that has been "flaring" (throbbing) on and off for a while. Nip that in the bud before the actual real pain begins!
On my way home this is what I saw:
A line of mushrooms wandering across the front lawn at an estate of units, possibly an old people's home, maybe not.

That was a most unpleasant experience. I hope the mushrooms made you smile.
ReplyDeletejabblog; thank you. The mushrooms did make me smile.
DeleteMuito desagradável o que aconteceu no dentista! Pena!
ReplyDeleteA foto linda!
beijos, chiuca
chica; usually a visit to the dentist isn't so painful except for the paying the bill part, but this was bad. The mushrooms are lovely to see, but probably not edible.
DeleteThat work must be costing you a fortune. I know what I paid for a root canal filling.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely take our teeth for granted until they fail us.
