Words for Wednesday
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.
The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.
This month the words/prompts are supplied by jabblog and can be found here

1.hand 2.useful 3.panic 4.horse 5.shape 6.sharp

beijos, tudo de bom,chica
These are good words, R.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; Janice does provide interesting words.
DeleteI never had a horse but was allowed to hop on my push-bike and with hair in the wind (back in the day there were no helmets) I rode two Bilderlahe and learned to ride on horseback.
ReplyDeleteUsually the ponies, jips I am small, so not quizzical - I got them. One threw me into panic mode as she ran off the moment she felt my left foot in the stirrup. She was mean.
I had some history with her! She shared her place with her Son who protected me. He was a sharp, sweet boy - I just reached out my hand and there he was, snuggling about! His name was Donco.
There was no boredom with him! I sometimes rode by just to snuggle up (my parents payed money only once a week)
Once they gave me a real horse. Black. Huge. Sweet. But oh... notification: small people and huge horses don´t mix well. I fell into his back. And still... He wanted to snuggle up after!
His name was Alexander (the Great).
Again, from real life and I look forward to Friday to read your story!!!
Thank you for the memory... memories!
Iris Flavia: That sounds sweet. I've never had a horse as kid but I think I would prefer small ones or even a pony.
DeleteHave a lovely day.
Iris; I like your stories are always from real life. I remember pony rides at school fetes when I was little, kids would sit on a pony for a small cost and the owner would lead the pony around a large ring twice. I think I only ever had a ride once in all my school years.
DeleteI was taught riding (Western style) at summer camp. I’ve always enjoyed it immensely.
Deletelissa, ponies can be nice, but also very, very quick. I was on the ground very often with Donco´s mother! He on the other hand was the sweetest.
DeleteRiver, yes, sadly I have no creativity whatsoever! I never played as a kid. Books were my world.
messymimi, I got taught classic - and with Alexander I had to go into slow gallop cause otherwise... boy... huuuge steps he took. But he was very sweet.
So many prompt words this week but I used all the words. Here's my take on the prompts: Fiction: The Friends Market
ReplyDeleteThanks jabblog.
Have a lovely day.
lissa; Janice does provide good words. I'll come over and read after I get home from visiting the twins, right now I have to catch a bus!
Deletelissa; I read your story but there is no way to leave a comment there, I like it but it is so sad that she has to leave Mickey at the market but still buys food for him.
DeleteRiver: I guess Blogger is having some sort of glitches. Thanks for reading.
DeleteHave a lovely day.
My story is in the usual place. Your blog won’t let me put in a tag to it.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; Tags probably aren't necessary, I visit your blog everyday anyway.
