Words for Wednesday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.

If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.

This month the words/prompts are supplied by Sean Jeating and can be found here

This week's words/prompts are:

1.contemporaries  2.easily  3.life  4.met  5.never

and/or:

1.one  2.say  3.sentence  4.who  5.within

use either list or both, or mix and match, just have fun.

Charlotte's colour of the month is Smoky Rose

My own story will hopefully appear on this blog on Friday 9th

  3. Contemporaries of Sean Jeating often remarked that he was the kindest, wisest man they had ever known. In his life, he met many people and they never had a bad word to say about him - apart from one - Ms Elsie River from Adelaide. She said that living with him had been like a prison sentence. The day she chucked him out she had yelled, "I don't know who you are any more!" and deep within her heart ice had formed. She watched him walk away in his smoky rose Nike tracksuit but never saw him wave goodbye when he reached the bus stop. It was over.

    1. "Joie de rue, douleur de maison".

You used the words very cleverly in this.

    2. Yorkshire Pudding; this is very clever and brings memories of a "prison sentence" type relationship which I did end by chucking him out.

  7. The contemporaries I met so far this morning, in the Smokey Rose dawn of light - who are they, I cannot say.
I easily wear a T-Shirt, like they do. But these days I´d never leave it like this!. My body has a sentence or two to tell me in this crisp air, like:
Put on a warm jumper as well and: Don´t forget your winter-jacket! I hang on my - so far healthy - life!

Looking forward to yours and yes, It was sunny but terribly cold on the way to my dentist...

    1. Iris; I often meet people on my way to and from the shops who are wearing t-shirts and shorts because the sun is out, but there is still chill in the air so I wear long pants and a jacket.

    2. As my prompts for this month (very probably) are my last ones, let's keep ignoring eachother.
Good luck to your teeth, and for Ingo. ;-)

    Fiction: Meet the Family.

    Have a lovely day.
