Whimsical Wednesday # 131

Welcome back to Whimsical Wednesday!

The day for your googled giggle that gets you over the hump that is Wednesday and sliding down into the weekend.

Today's whimsy is not googled, I received it via email along with many other images. Thank you fishducky

first flight.   cute, yes?

  1. WHEE! They are enchanting. Thank you - and Fran.

  2. What a cosy little home. :)

  3. Delores; I thought so too.

    Elephant's Child; I knew you'd love this.

Lee; very cosy, a little too cosy for my taste, but I'm not a bird.

Joanne; I have no idea what bird they are.

  4. Well, you don't see that everyday!

I've seen wee baby ducks as they've just come down from their high nest in an old pine tree, but not a still capture like this. Lovely.

  5. How very nice. Perhaps a "fishducky" or two.

    Gary :)

  6. Do you think they are having fun they look like they are.,

  7. Vicki; I wonder how long the photographer sat and waited just for that one shot. I used to have that kind of patience.

    klahanie; very clever!

Merle; the first taste of freedom is always fun. I hope they didn't crash land.

  8. That is truly capturing the moment and oh, those little webbed feet. Absolutely gorgeous and thank you for sharing with us.
Another book in the mail to you tomorrow.

  9. This is my first time here. I saw your post on another friend's blog and thought I might stop by. I LOVE your saying at the top. So true, isn't it? At least in my life!

  10. They are Wood Ducks and if the parents expected to continue the line, there will be water beneath them.

  11. Mimsie; they look so small to be taking off into the air like that!

    Terri Tiffany; welcome to drifting.
I don't remember where I found that quote, but it fits me to perfection, so I commandeered it for myself.

joeh; thanks, I wasn't sure what type of bird they are, and it's nice to know there is a soft landing under them.
