Musical Monday # 130
Musical Monday
I was introduced to
Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way
to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same
time.
I’ll be finding my clips
on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many
versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong
artist.
Today’s clip is: Kenny Loggins
Footloose: with dance clips from an assortment of movies.
Enjoy :)
Fred Astaire is in there
Loved this montage. Somebody worked hard to put it together. Glad to see clips from the movie FOOTLOOSE in there as well as the others. Got misty eyed every time it showed Patrick Swayze. We lost him way too soon.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie; I love this too. I'd forgotten Patrick Swayze was gone.
DeleteHappy music..
ReplyDeleteonly slightly confused; I do like my music happy :)
DeleteThat was fun! Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteS.J.Qualls; you're very welcome, did it get your feet tapping?
DeleteVery clever.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I wish I was that clever, but I'll settle for watching what others have done.
DeleteVery clever; they even got penguins & basketball in there!!
ReplyDeletefishducky; and Mary Poppins too!
DeleteWith two and possibly three left feet I am always awed by dancers. And their bodies.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I have the right feet, but my hips and back seem to be someone else's. Surely my own wouldn't be this reluctant to move like that?
DeleteEvery time I see this, I'm dancing in my mind :)
Lots of fun for a Monday morning to get our feet a-tapping!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the new Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone movie..."La La Land". It's getting very good reviews, too.
I loved the movie musicals when I was a kid - in particular I was a huge fan of Gene Kelly...he was a fabulous dancer.
Thanks for this clip, River. :)
Lee; I saw an ad for La la Land on TV recently, or maybe I read it in the TV guide...but it's on my list of movies to see. I didn't see many musicals as a kid, I remember Oklahoma on TV and Annie Get your Gun, then there was Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. What really got me wanting to dance though, was Cats.
DeleteThat was fun to watch, well put together as well.
ReplyDeleteMargaret-whiteangel; I love things like this, well put together so it just flows and gets the feet tapping too.
DeleteNotice Gene Kelly in there.
ReplyDeleteDora; I don't know which one is Gene Kelly, I'll have to google him and see his face, then I'll know.
DeleteSo many great dancers and it's always there. A woman of 101 still dancing ballroom (in our group) AND in her skinny tall heels. What a delight that was BUT she has now passed.
