Linked In update

Thank you all for your comments which I didn't get to until just now, I've been a tad busy.

I didn't reply, sorry about that, but decided to do this update post instead, to let you all know I HAVE CLOSED THE LINKED -IN ACCOUNT, yay me!

Perhaps last night, when I tried over and over, someone at the other end was napping on the job.
I turned on the laptop five minutes ago and straight away went to the Linked In site and managed to close my account.

Any of you who have an account there and wish to close it, follow Lee's excellent instructions, which is what I was doing most of last night, but today it worked. Finally.

😀😀

  1. Good on you, well done and also to Lee

  2. Margaret-whiteangel; I'm just glad to finally be rid of it. I didn't get too many emails from it, not recently anyway, but I did find them annoying since it became just another version of a social media site as well as a job search network, which I have no use for because I'm retired.

  3. Good research work on the part of Lee.

  4. I made an account once, by accident. It has been languishing for years and must be dead by now.

    1. Joanne; mine was languishing since 2013, you'll have to get in there and close the account, because they don't die on their own.

  5. I'm glad that you were finally able to get that account closed, it is annoying how easy an account on many sites can be opened but yet how hard it is to close them...

    1. Jimmy; in the end the process was easy. I was doing all the right things the night before, but someone at the other end was napping on the job, or perhaps not working those hours at all.

  6. I don't know what linked-in is, but I'm glad you're happy about your break away.

    1. The Happy Whisk; it's the social media form of a job search network. You put your name and profession and others do the same and if you are looking for work someone somewhere might be able to match you up. Or something like that.

    2. Thank you for explaining.
I had no idea that's what it was.

  7. I'm glad you got that done. I keep getting email requests to SET UP a linkdin account so others can... I dunno. It's not like I have an actual job and can help them network or anything.

  8. I'm glad you've succeeded in cancelling Linked-In, River.

All that trouble you were experiencing must have been so damn frustrating...to say the least!

When instances like that happen with me, I'm always thankful I don't have a sledge-hammer handy! I of little patience! lol
