Wednesday's Words on a Friday
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles.
The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
This week's SINGLE word is:
TIME
how many do we have left?
The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along and read it.
This month the words are again supplied by Delores and can be found here.
TIME
TIME ticks on by
like a heartbeat
day after day
weeks pass, months fly,
the years travel on
how many beats are behind us?
I'm hoping for much more time, I like it here on earth.
Well done. Love the images and the pertinent words that describe the passage of time.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; thank you, I think of time as the heartbeat of the earth.
DeleteWell written, Time is running, and we have to follow. Like you I'd like many more days here on Earth, I'm very curious ;)
ReplyDeleteUglemor; sometimes I wish time would run more slowly, like it did when we were small children.
DeleteI'm with you, time is our most valuable commodity. Well I guess it is not really a commodity, but you get the point. I fear I just wasted some time.
ReplyDeletejoeh; time on the internet is never wasted.
DeleteTerrific! Simple... but profound. Very poetry-like, too. Great job!
ReplyDeleteSusan; thank you :)
DeleteThis is lovely and so beautifully visual.
ReplyDeleteChristine; thank you, I always think of time as a heartbeat and I like to see clocks ticking along.
DeleteYou sure took your time on this one...the clock was ticking...and still is!! :)
ReplyDeleteLee; didn't take much time at all and yes, the clocks are still ticking, along with our hearts.
DeleteAh, i hope to also stick around a bit, i want to see how it all turns out.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; I want another 40 years, how about you?
DeleteI love this, and the timepiece assortment, but I'm puzzled by the second clock, with FOUR hands! Maybe a second hand, and one that sets an alarm?
ReplyDeleteVal; four hands? I'll have to have another look. These are all from the Steampunk designs I googled for.
DeleteYes, a second hand and one to set the alarm, just like on my regular clock over on my chest of drawers.
DeleteI love the clocks! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCindi Summerlin; these are Steampunk design, I'm a big fan of steampunk.
DeleteLove that - very poignant! Great pictures too. Now I'm in my 60s I am very conscious of how time flies by and try to make the most of whatever is left.
ReplyDeleteAround My Kitchen Table
That's Purrfect
Around My Kitchen Table; I've noticed time flying, but not when there's an unexpected visitor who loves to talk. And talk and talk and talk....
DeleteSimply put and elegant.
ReplyDeleteonly slightly confused; thank you, I hoped you'd like it.
DeleteLove the old Steampunk look, as I have a thing about the early industrial look. I have a similar one over my fireplace, but has three working clocks cluster together. Like your blog, AZDave
ReplyDeleteDave Mansfield; welcome to drifting. I love steampunk styles, but can't afford to by any, and wouldn't know where to get them anyway, so I satisfy myself with internet pictures.
