Sunday Selections # 542
Long, long ago, in days of yore...Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if overseas bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I occasionally join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to Elephant's Child and have a look.
where are you all going?
we want to visit with Bobby Bunny
please come and visit with us Bobby
one big happy family 😀
now some more of what I saw on my walk
black ornamental kale standing about two feet tall
ready to fly away
the tree lined streets of my suburb
old pots put out for anyone who wants them. I wanted them but they were too big to carry and I don't need them anyway.
a happy chicken guarding her yard
pigeons on a roof
rows and rows of new "lego cube" buildings, these are what passes for houses these days.
I much prefer something that looks like this one, a traditional home, not square boxes stacked up over a garage.
OTR: "on the run" petrol and convenience stores. They started with one, now they are everywhere. Family owned, not company owned.
a happy mermaid
and a rock-solid family group.
thank you for a fun filled post!
ReplyDelete21 Wits; glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteI loved your post, the ordinary extrapolated. Well done. Got me thinking.
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
WWW; thinking is always good. Thank you.
DeleteThank you. I am sure the girls enjoyed their visit - and I loved walking with you.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; they did, they love talking to Bunny. I should take a few more walks, as soon as the rainy weeks are over.
DeleteAlways enjoy visiting with the girls. The ornamental Kale is pretty but those Lego look houses definitely aren't.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; the girls are sweet aren't they? My mum used to grow ornamental kale in many different colours. I hate those "Lego" houses and blocks of them are popping up everywhere.
DeleteAnd the pigeons came to visit the happy family!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead, River...cuddles to the lovely Lady Lola. :)
Lee; the pigeons were a couple of blocks away, maybe they were visiting each other, getting together for a chat.
DeleteI guess the pigeons were social distancing, then. :)
DeleteIt's a nice photo of the tree lined street and I really like the older house. Such style. OTR is interesting. I wonder if we will see them here. Family owned sounds good.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I prefer the older house too. You could google OTR and see if they have interstate plans. Owned by the Shahin family. They always have enough bowsers and the store part is always clean.
DeleteThis was a wonderful walk. I see back strengthening happening up there.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; they all have very strong little backs :)
DeleteThe sisters! The sisters! I LOVE to see them, and I love how they are helping each other climb up. They are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love their sweaters too--such pretty colors.
Thank you for sharing your walk---it's so interesting to see where other bloggers live. To each of us, our neighborhood is normal, but to others, it's exotic.
Fresca; the sisters are very close after being apart so long before they came home. My neighbourhood usually has some pretty sights any time of the year.
DeleteSure glad Bobby Bunny join the gang.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Dora; Bobby Bunny loves cuddles.
DeleteThat was a nice visit, and a lovely walk.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteI love the chicken yard-guard, but I'm suspicious of those roof pigeons. Watching...
ReplyDeleteVal; I wondered if the roof pigeons were waiting for parked cars or fresh washing to poop on, but maybe they were just having a chat. I love the chicken guard too and wish I knew where to get one.
DeleteCute family for sure!
ReplyDeleteDid you make a wish, blowing the seeds?
Nice to see you can have street finds, also!
Interesting lego-houses! I´d like to see the inside.
Never close sounds exhausting. Love the last ones, too, happy Sunday. Well, considering you´re 8 hours ahead... nice evening!
Iris Flavia; I did not make a wish, nor blow the dandelion, I left if for a child to find. Never close isn't so bad, they have workers on shift rosters, so it isn't the same person 24 hours a day. I don't like the "lego" houses, they don't look like homes to me, just boxes stacked as many as possible per block.
DeleteNice to leave the flower for a kid´s wish and I know they work in shifts, I did that, also. But it was exhausting!
DeleteThank you for your lovely photos. Australia looks nice where you live.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Victor SE Moubarak; Adelaide is mostly pretty, although it has some not so pretty areas. I don't like all the "box" style housing going up in most suburbs. They have no garden space in front or in back.
DeleteYour girls look beautiful as always R.
ReplyDeletelove the cemented family...all photos are nice and certainly a good selection.
Margaret D; thank you, I love the cement family too, they are quite large about three and a half feet tall, so it would be a very heavy statue.
DeleteThis was an entertaining post, but I have to say- there's something just a little creepy about those first 2 or 3 photos. I don't know, maybe it's me. I have this thing about dolls coming to life.
ReplyDeletepresstfortime; welcome to drifting. The dolls aren't really coming to life, you know that, it's just me putting them in situations and making up a story.
DeleteOh, whew! So glad you clarified that.
DeleteThank you for pictyres of your charming neighbourhood - that is if we disregard the Lego-buildings. They must be nice on the inside I hope, But I much prever the house-looking houses ;)
ReplyDeleteHen guardian ;) Nice, but I have an owl!
Charlotte; thank you, it is looking nice around here now, the jonquils are starting to bloom and daffodils will soon follow, some of the early wattle trees are in bloom now too.
DeleteMy garden doesn't have a guardian now, I'm afraid to put him outside in case he gets stolen.
The photos are all so beautiful, and I agree, I prefer a traditional home over a cube shaped home.
