Sunday Selections #586
Long ago, Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if overseas bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I occasionally join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to them and have a look.
Shall we spend the day with the girls?
Gillian: look at this toy Mum bought for the new twins
Riley: it's got yellow shapes inside
Jordan: I'll see if I can get one out
Jordan: I can't quite get a grip
Jordan: I can fit my legs all the way in! Gillian: but that won't help us get the shapes out
Jordan: help me out then
Jordan: mum says we have to pull both of these yellow handles at the same time
Meg: the other one is way down under, we can't pull it from there
Meg: let's play soccer Jordan: kick it here, kick it this way!
Riley: let's ask Mum to get the shapes out
Meg: I built a house!
Gillian: we made a fence
Riley: we can play bowling
Strike!
high five!
Stargazing, the twins are going to love this toy.
A day well spent!! Clever girls. The perfect toy too!! Versatile!
ReplyDeleteLinda Sue; I remember the fun my own kids had with one of these. It's a learning tool too, the shapes themselves and they each have a number embossed on them and dots for blind children.
DeleteThis would make a good children's book! Seriously.
ReplyDeletejenny_o; thank you :)
DeleteI love that the girls are having fun - as the twins will.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I've seen one of those. I assume they still make them.
ReplyDeleteMike; probably, but they are Tupperware so a new one would be hugely expensive, I got this one from ebay quite cheaply and washed it a few times.
DeleteLiked seeing them work together. Who knew all those shapes were in there? Why they did of course.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; they always work together and never fight.
DeleteI hope your coming week is as much fun as the last week, River. Take good care...cuddles to the lovely Lady Lola. :)
ReplyDeleteLee; the coming week is going to be exciting with the twins arriving, but I won't get to see them right away with the hospital limiting visitors and of course I will have to wear a mask.
DeleteThe twins pending arrival is so exciting for all concerned, River. My very best thoughts and wishes with you all. :)
DeleteGood luck twinnies with that puzzle. It should be this week when ours arrive, somewhat early. We've bought nothing for them as yet.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; it's a toy for when they are older. Our twins are also arriving this week, three weeks early, but they are healthy and a good size. I won't get to see them right away as the hospital is limiting visitors. I've bought lots of stuff, mostly nappies, wipes and bibs, a couple of lightweight blankets for the summer and I chipped in for a double pram.
DeleteClever toy, clever girls and Jordan to play with it that way. Those are fun, i know your twins will enjoy it.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; it's for when they are a bit older, they aren't quite born yet. Jordan is the doll with the ponytail.
DeleteI've missed the twins!
ReplyDeleteJoanne; no you haven't, they aren't born yet, arriving later this week. Their dad is excited and scared all at once, these are his first children.
DeleteI love these adventures with the girls. Their different personalities shine through. I wonder what they will think of the twins.
ReplyDeleteVal; the girls have been quiet for a while, but this new toy got them away from the TV for a bit. I won't let them meet the twins until they are older and less likely to chew on them.
DeleteMy son had one of those toys. They been around for ages.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Dora; my kids had one too, that's why I bought this one. I remembered the fun they had learning the shapes.
DeleteYour family of friends have been busy then R. Good imagination you have.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; mostly the little redheads sit and watch TV, but new toys intrigue them.
DeleteFun times with and for the girls :-)
ReplyDeleteIris Flavia; when they are old enough, they are getting born on Thursday this week.
DeleteDylan would love this if they were wearing superhero costumes. hah
