will this be the latest "must have" look for American school children?

thank you google for these images.

this has to be just about the saddest thing I've ever thought of 😢

what's next? bulletproof babywear and bulletproof strollers?

  1. Helmets for kids in cars would be a better investment. Helmets for EVERYONE riding in a car. If motorcycle riders don't want to wear helmets that's OK. We need organ donors.

    1. Mike; I always wore a helmet when I rode my bike. Helmets in cars wouldn't be necessary if drivers would only slow down, not drink/drug-drive and not look at their phones instead of the road ahead. but it's something to think about.

  2. curious we were just talking about bullet proof vests this this morning. Insanity, greed, fear, all of the awful characteristics of being human condensed right here in the USA

    1. Linda Sue; it really is sad to think that children would need such protective clothing just to go to school.

  3. Horrid thought but it is what we are coming to unless we can do like other countries and show the testicals needed to pass some rigid gun laws. It can be and has been done by others successfully. Maybe we can learn.

    1. Arkansas Patti; I sincerely hope your country does learn and do something about reducing the number of guns, particularly the assault rifles.

  7. Oh my, so sad to even think of that.

  8. What's next? Maybe Mickey Mouse handguns for children that really work. Of course girls would have the Minnie Mouse version in pink. When you send your child to school there should not be any fear whatsoever that he or she might never come home.

    1. Yorkshire Pudding; If I lived there I wouldn't be sending my children to school at all and we'd be getting groceries home delivered.

  9. If only there was an answer. Gun control will only lead to another weapon for insane persons.

    1. Granny Annie; true, but perhaps a weapon that doesn't kill dozens at a time.

  10. Surely those images are not real. (Just Internet memes, in other words.) I can't believe parents will be making their kids wear bullet-proof gear to class. I'm all for gun restrictions, but the chance of encountering a gunman during the course of a school day is still VERY small compared to being injured in a car accident or on the football field.

  11. Very, very sad.
And Granny Annie is right, here knives and axes are "popular"...

    1. Iris Flavia; that's sad about the knives and axes, but at least they can't be killing dozens of people at once.
