Wednesday's Words on a Friday

On Wednesdays, assorted people have been taking monthly turns at putting up a selection of six (or twelve) words which is called “Words for Wednesday”. We have taken over this meme from Delores, who had been having computer problems. This month the meme continues here , at Riot Kitty’s site. Essentially the aim is to encourage us to write.     Each week we are given a choice of prompts: which can be words, phrases, music or images.    What we do with those prompts is up to us:   a short story, prose, a song, a poem, or treating them with ignore... Some of us put our creation in comments on the post, and others post on their own blog.   We would really like it if as many people as possible joined in with this fun meme. If you are posting on your own blog - let us know so that we can come along and read your masterpiece. I’m hopeless at poetry so I always do a story. It’s a fun challenge…why not join in? This week's wo...

specific instructions would be useful

I'd like a little help please.  I can't seem to find where I can change my blogger sign in password. I've discovered recently, via howsecureisyourpassword.net ,that my current password would take about five seconds to be cracked by a hacker.  So I want to change it. Remember last year when my email account got hacked and all you lovely readers got spam sent via my name? That wasn't fun and I did change my email password too, back then, but it turns out that new password is also easily hackable , taking about 4 days. So I want to change that too. I have another password that I rarely use, according to howsecureisyourpassword.net that one would take 837 THOUSAND years to hack.  I think I'd like to use that one instead of my current one. One more thing; when I first turn on my computer, I must enter a password to continue.  It's the old password I first chose years ago, when I first began using a computer and probably extremely hackable.  Anyone ab...

Musical Monday # 97

Image
Musical Monday I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site. I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.  I’ll be finding my clips on you tube , so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist. Today’s clip is:  Ricky Martin Livin' La Vida Loca  and the lyrics : and the Donkey & Puss In Boots version from the movie: Shrek 2

Sunday Selections # 273

Image
Welcome back to Sunday Selections! This once-a- week-meme was originally begun by Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, as a way to showcase some of the many photos we all take, but don't get around to showing on our blogs. The rules are very simple:- 1. post photos of your choice, old or new, under the Sunday Selections title 2. link back to me, River , somewhere in your post 3. leave me a comment so that I know you've joined in and can come over and see what you've posted. 4. hop on over to Elephant’s Child to see more of her wonderful photos.   Andrew often joins in too. I usually go with a theme for my Sunday Selections and this week, let's go back down memory lane a bit. Remember J from last week? I have his permission to show these, so here he is again. our first or second Christmas back in Adelaide. building a castle; this is in the first house we built. I've been framed! in the second house we built after leaving th...
