Musical Monday # 97

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:  Ricky Martin

Livin' La Vida Loca

and the lyrics:

and the Donkey & Puss In Boots version from the movie:

Shrek 2

  2. To me Ricky Martin seems to be such a nice human being; he is very easy on the eyes, too. He was the best thing about "The Voice"...but he is no longer one of the judges, unfortunately....in my opinion.

  3. Who could not like the song. I will have to wait until I am home to listen to Puss in Boots.

  4. fishducky; this would snap, crackle and pop your eyes open for sure.

Lee; I'm the only one I know around here who likes his music, nice enough to look at too. I've never watched The Voice, I can't stand all the posturing and dramatics, the over-done excited enthusiasm of the judges.

Andrew; who could not like the song? about 99.9% of my friends, because they don't like Ricky Martin, they don't like his music. Which seems silly to me. I'm able to like songs without liking a particular singer or band.

  5. Donkey and Puss in Boots, hands down. Call it the child within.

  6. I like the song and what's wrong with Ricky, he is ok by me, or has he done something I have not heard about.

  7. Susan Kane; it's the best one isn't it? I watch the whole movie just to get to that part at the end.

Merle; I like Ricky too, I'm not sure why others don't. Maybe he is too pretty-boy for some.

  8. Not my type of music...too modern with all that base beat. Love old rock and roll though.
Thought the Shrek concert wonderfully well done.
Not sure I've heard of Ricky Martin now I come to think of it.
Definitely don't watch programmes like the Voice.

  9. Way back when I was fitter and hired a treadmill, I would put on Ricky Martin and really go for it. Mind you it's also great having an earworm for the day which is why I'm not pressing the button.

  13. I agree, River, that even if I am not a huge fan of a band or singer, I can still enjoy listening to different types of music. I, also liked the Puss and Boots version. The Shrek movies were really fun to watch. I am a big fan of animation in all its variations.

  15. Mimsie; the base beat is my favourite part of most songs, great for walking to for exercise.
Ricky martin wasn't hugely popular, so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of him.

JahTeh; I wish I had room for a treadmill, but have you seen the ones available now? They're gigantic!

Margaret-whiteangel; I agree he's talented and wish I knew more of his songs. I'll have to spend more time at you tube.

mohaverat; the donkey and the cat usually beat everyone, they're so funny.

Belva; welcome to drifting. I like my music a bit lively, gets the feet tapping.

Cheryl; welcome to drifting. I like lots of different styles of music, but not everything put out by a single band or singer. People ask me how can I not like xxxx, it's by so-and-so and you like the other song. And I tell them I choose what I like by song, not by singer. Shrek is great!

Barbara; it's a good song for the mornings, gets you moving a bit.
