  2. When I was a kid we would sing:

    "Hickory dickery dock
3 mice ran up the clock,
    the clock struck struck one
and the others got away with minor injuries."

  3. I needed that laugh, thank you! This whole separating, etc... is a bit hard on one's sense of humour.

  6. Why, who, what, which, when and where?

    Hickory Dickory Dock
Ten mice ran up the clock
    When the clock struck two
    The number left was few
    And it included the cuckoo

  7. Annie O'Dyne; our section of the mighty Murray is in dire straits, with the eastern states wanting to dam it near the mouth and open the lower freshwater lakes to the sea. "THEY" want the water for their farming, while those down here who rely on it and the lakes water, will be stripped of their livelihoods and go broke. do I sound pissed off about it? Because I am.
    Glad you enjoyed the cartoon.

Grace; I remember some kids in school doing that version :)

fishducky; I'd like to see what you do with this one.

The Cranky; yes. yes it is hard, I've been there. Glad I could make you laugh.

Kathy G; me either, he's not in our newspaper comic pages anymore.

Merle; who knows why mice do anything? Maybe they were being chased by a cat.

Lee; I like your version :)

Susan Kane; give it some thought and get back to me. Or post something at your blog.

  11. Are you getting colder there yet? Here it is still pretty cold and so much rain, the ground can't soak any more. Hail yesterday. Really HARD rains that are hard to sleep through.

  12. Mimsie; I like waking up to something funny on the internet, but these days I get other stuff done first and don't turn on until about 3pm.

Happy Elf Christine; we've had a few cool days that were most enjoyable, then the sun would come back out and I'd be turning on fans and pulling down blinds again. Today started out cool and almost raining, then the sun cam out and I was glad I'd worn shorts and a t-shirt. I love hard rains, I'll get up and watch if it rains hard at night. We need some gentle rains first though to soak into our parched garden soils; they're so dry a hard rain would just run off the surface.
