I've noticed something new
When cars turn into my end of the driveway now, in the evenings, they slow right down and ease past my place so they don't scare away the Cockatoos as they eat from the seed trays.
Probably they're watching the birds too, but isn't that nice of them to do that?
That is very sweet indeed!
ReplyDeleteIris Flavia; I think so too.
DeleteThere are so many good people in the world. I have to remember that.
ReplyDelete(ツ) from Jenn Jilks , ON, Canada!
Jenn Jilks; there are so many more good people, it's just the bad ones get all the attention so we think there are more of them.
DeleteTrue, I read that people tend to pay more attention to the bad in life. Seems we are different :-)
DeleteWhen you slow down you can actually see some cool things.
ReplyDeleteBob; yes. like a slow drive through the country on a Sunday afternoon.
DeleteMaybe you can charge admission!
ReplyDeleteSteve Reed; only if I were a themed park. Otherwise it is known as racketeering and I would be fined.
DeleteCockatoos dining , such a sweet picture. The orphans are enthralled!
ReplyDeleteLinda Sue; my girls watch through the window. Two days ago, what a horde! 16 of them all at once.
DeleteThat is lovely. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; it is lovely and i really appreciate the considerate drivers.
DeleteYes, that is nice. I'm sure they enjoy seeing those birds as much as you do. I even slow down to look at big ugly turkey buzzards perched in a tree. Wildlife is mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteVal; I hope they are enjoying the birds, I stop on my walks to look at the magpies and lorikeets.
DeletePut out a donation bucket. "Help feed the birds!"
ReplyDeleteMike; I know my neighbours, that wouldn't work.
DeleteThat is so sweet. I'm sure the birds and you are making their day.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; the birds, yes. Me? not so much.
DeleteNature wins people over.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; it does in most cases and I'm happy about that.
DeleteThat's nice. And they avoid a guilty conscience.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; they also avoid having a bird fly up unexpectedly and hit their vehicle.
DeleteRight now, sea gulls have flown inland to eat. they are aggressive.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane; probably about the same as the Cockatoos, I think. I don't recall our seagulls being overly aggressive, but I have seen them all screeching together at the beach over something.
DeleteIt means you have thoughtful neighbors who probably like the birds, too.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; yes and several other neighbours also feed birds. One feeds raw meat to the magpies which is why the magpies don't come to me anymore.
DeleteThat is certainly lovely of those people, not many would be like that.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; I'm choosing to believe they are admiring the birds and not worrying about their cars should a bird fly up suddenly. Most of us around here do like the birds though and several of us feed them.
DeleteWow! I would slow down too. They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSarah; they are beautiful, also noisy and quite large, about 50cm
