I've noticed something new

When cars turn into my end of the driveway now,  in the evenings, they slow right down and ease past my place so they don't scare away the Cockatoos as they eat from the seed trays.

Probably they're watching the birds too, but isn't that nice of them to do that?

    1. Jenn Jilks; there are so many more good people, it's just the bad ones get all the attention so we think there are more of them.

    2. True, I read that people tend to pay more attention to the bad in life. Seems we are different :-)

  6. Yes, that is nice. I'm sure they enjoy seeing those birds as much as you do. I even slow down to look at big ugly turkey buzzards perched in a tree. Wildlife is mesmerizing.

    1. Susan Kane; probably about the same as the Cockatoos, I think. I don't recall our seagulls being overly aggressive, but I have seen them all screeching together at the beach over something.

  12. It means you have thoughtful neighbors who probably like the birds, too.

    1. messymimi; yes and several other neighbours also feed birds. One feeds raw meat to the magpies which is why the magpies don't come to me anymore.

  13. That is certainly lovely of those people, not many would be like that.

    1. Margaret D; I'm choosing to believe they are admiring the birds and not worrying about their cars should a bird fly up suddenly. Most of us around here do like the birds though and several of us feed them.
