The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
I couldn't get sound to play. will check on YouTube. I love the Celtic Thunder. There have been some voices who have passed.
ReplyDeleteRebooted, and got to listen to this gem.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane; I'm glad you got to listen, it's a great little song.
DeleteIt's a toe tapper.
ReplyDeleteMike; and a hand clapper.
DeleteLoved the song (and the group)
ReplyDeleteHaddock; welcme back. I've known about Celtic Thunder for a while but only found this yesterday when roaming around youtube.
DeleteLots of good fun energy. Love her dress, too!
ReplyDeleteThe Happy Whisk; it's cheery isn't it? I wish I could sing.
DeleteOne of my favourite songs - I'm always singing it :-)
ReplyDeletejabblog; I've never heard it before.
DeleteA catchy beat but not really to my taste. My unmusical taste.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; it is catchy, but everyone has their own taste.
DeleteCT are good. Check YouTube for the duo they imitate, Makem and Clancy. I love their version.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I shall check it later.
DeleteEarly morning here and I felt like clapping along!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat song (I had to concentrate, though, a bit).
This was FUN, thank you!
Iris; I should have found one with the lyrics written in. I like it though, I like fun songs.
DeleteNo, all good :-) I am glad I have to concentrate! German music - if dumb - drives me nuts as I understand - if I want to or not!
DeleteCatchy! (They're pretty easy on the eyes, too.) It's interesting that they're called Celtic Thunder because to me this sounds so like American country -- which illustrates the close ties between country music and the British/Irish isles, I guess.
ReplyDeleteSteve Reed; it does sound a bit country, but i don't mind that at all. They are nice to look at too, all those blue eyes.
DeleteThank you, i enjoyed that very much!
ReplyDeletemessymimi; I knew you would :)
DeleteGood video River, makes you want to get up with dance and clap along.
