Happy Happy News!
Daughter-in-law-to-be:
first day up and walking after a second amputation and doing so well ππ
I had a grin that split my face and proud and happy tears streaming down my cheeks when she sent this to me yesterday.
This is the twins mum and we love her so much.

ReplyDeleteCharlotte; she is definitely a fighter, so much determination. Thank you.

ReplyDeletejabblog; she is doing very well, thank you.
DeleteI totally missed the story- amputation of legs?
ReplyDeleteLinda Sue; she already had one prosthetic when I first met her, the second one is new, the leg amputated just a few months ago. She had that disease, Arteriosclerosis, where the arteries go rigid and no long pump the blood, so the legs gradually die from the toes up.
DeleteWow! She is really moving along! That even gave me tears. I wish her a speedy recovery. I'm sure everyone is missing her from their daily routine.
ReplyDeleteVal; she is doing very well, but hasn't been MIA at all, she has been at home in a wheelchair and going to rehab as soon as the stump was properly healed.
DeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteKathy G; thank you, she is amazing, all that and five children!
DeleteHaving and raising twins must have taken heaps of effort. Well done, daughter in law :)
ReplyDeletehels; she puts a lot of work in and the twins were bornwhile the "good" leg was still good, but then the toe infections began and two years of treatments didn't help a lot. My son and the older boys all help a lot. Thank you.
DeleteI thought I missed something, but you explained in a comment. I hope she continues to make such great progress.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; she will, S is a very strong young woman.
DeleteHow wonderful! She is doing so well!
ReplyDeleteLinda's Relaxing Lair; she is and we are very happy for her.
DeleteWhat a difficult thing to manage. All the best to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteJenn Jilks; difficult in the beginning, but rehab and now walking helps a lot.
DeleteWish her the best.
ReplyDeleteDora; thank you.
DeleteShe is a keeper for sure. Full of strength and courage. Wishing her all the best in this life
ReplyDeleteDVArtist,; much more strength and courage than I would have I suspect.
DeleteWhat an amazing survivor and great mom. I'm praying she recovers fully and quickly.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; thank you, she is a great mum. Recovery may go faster now that she is up and moving, though still spending time in the wheelchair.
DeleteOh, boy, BIG YAY. To be so brave! So wonderful these options are around and affordable, too! To life! "Yippie Yah Yeah, Schweinebacke!"
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy post! Thank you, River, for sharing, my deepest respect to braveness!
