Words for Wednesday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.

If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.

This month the words/prompts are supplied by River and can be found here

This week's words/prompts are:

1.concoction  2.premises  3.smoky  4.genuine  5.stronger  6.grease

Charlotte's colour of the month is Ocean Twilight

My story should appear on this blog on Friday 27th

**Next month's Words for Wednesday will be supplied by messymimi** on her blog.

  1. I really love coming here to see what the word choice is and I'm thinking I would like to join in. I will check the other blogs to find out what the rules are. I'm looking forward to reading your story.

    1. The rules are easy: Look at the words, write anything, prose, ppoem ... use all the words, just one or even none.
Publish, go here and throw a link to your blogpost, if you're not posting in the comments.
Read others' WfW and throw a comment if you feel so inclined.
      Happy writing and reading.
My own WfW will go live tomorrow around 11 am I suppose.

    2. DVArtist; as Charlotte says, there are no rules. It's just a fun thing.

    3. Dear River, sorry for hi-jacking, but I did not remember when you were supposed to get home, and thought DVArtist needed a reply.

    4. Charlotte; hijacking is fine except for spammers and trolls.

  2. I’ll be working on it, and I will provide the prompts on my blog next month, posting them at the end of my Tuesday meanderings so it will be early for your time.

    2. Thank you. Right now I'm trying to get to 27 Wordy Wordless Wednesdays and don't want to commit to more. Though I am starting to publish on other days which is fun. Thank you. I'll keep it in mind for down the road. Cheers, Ivy.

    1. Margaret D; sometimes I have to think really hard to get the words and sometimes I open the dictionary at random and choose from there.

  6. Our concoction - the few times we go out - is craft beer on the premises of Jürgen´s Brauerei, where we can walk to - it is actually a deep garage... Not at all smoky, though, but grease might be there from some cars. They only are open on Thursdays and Fridays, otherwise cars park there.
They were a start-up over 10 years ago but stay in that place with the simple, cheap seating. They go to... tadaaa... Australia to taste craft beer there and find new ideas. they are genuine brewers and get stronger and stronger. Ingo is kinda "friends" with the "bosses", Max and Paul.
We have some of their beer in the fridge (since... oh... we should really drink them! Soon!)

  9. AQUÍ teniu el meu.

—Has provat ja el beuratge que preparen a les noves instal·lacions?— va preguntar ella, amb veu baixa i to tallant.
