Sunday Selections # 536

Image
Long, long ago, in days of yore...Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.  A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.  Nothing rude or vulgar though. Mrs Snail keeps an eye on everyone to be sure they stay safe Meg knocks on a Fairy House door while Jordan climbs up to look into the attic window Jordan: "there...

I am annoyed

I have neighbour trouble. Often it's the ground floor people, who sleep all day and wake up just when I want to go to sleep, banging doors, burning toast and setting off smoke alarms, I'm used to them and just read in bed until they quieten down. I'm sitting here typing with  music blasting, songs I know no one likes except me and I don't care if it annoys her, or anyone else.  mostly country music and a bit of 80's rock. If she says anyt...

Wednesday's Words on a Friday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by ME and can be found right here This week's words/prompts are:  1. shindig  2. hootenanny  3. shemozzle  4. heiress  5. banana  6. barricade  and/or:  1. light  2. tough  3. coffee  4. nightmare  5. curved  6. Christmas  Here is my story: I glanced towards the heavens and sighed deeply.  I wanted to go home, but I no longer had one. Every year I travelled to Earth for this thing called " Christmas ", such a thing had never been...

Continuing on from last week, where the girls were headed into the jungle: Gillian: I like these wide ferns Riley: I'm sitting with a kookaburra Meg: I'm balancing on one foot, ha ha.
