well, that didn't take long

Canon MP210 driver is unavailable.
My printer is obsolete.
I'll have to buy a new one.

DAMNDAMNDAMNDAMN...........................

:( :( :( :(
I don't have a keyboard button with tears on it, so just picture them okay?
I've loved this printer for years and just recently installed new ink cartridges which will now be wasted as they won't fit a new printer.

I hate windows10.
And I hate that perfectly good, functioning machines become obsolete.
Of course I can still use it to photocopy and will do so until the ink runs out.

  1. I don't print and my computer no longer updates still works so I'm not getting a new one till this one falls apart .

  2. Merle; my computer is fine too, but the printer is obsolete. It still works, well it would if I could download a driver, but there isn't one available anymore. I can still use it for photocopying, but can't print photos, or my short Friday stories.

  3. I think the phase of the moon and the sun is all out of whack today/tonight. That's what is to blame. I couldn't win the weakest argument today if I try. I'm sure if the world could find a way it'd blame Syria on me!!

So chin up, River...I'll help you throw a few things at the wall. We can take it in turns. :)

    1. Lee; it's too late in the day now to start throwing things and by tomorrow I'm sure I won't want to. I may or may not get a new printer. There's a photo shop in the local shopping centre where I can print photos that I've put on a usb stick. It might turn out cheaper than having to constantly buy new ink cartridges.

    1. Joanne; thank you very much, I'll give that a try. I googled for a windows 10 download and they don't have one :(
I'll be ecstatic if your link works :)

  5. I waited until the very last minute to update my computer to Windows 10. During the updating process it told me that because my monitor was older it couldn't complete the process (which was MORE than fine with me).

    1. Kathy G; that doesn't make sense, the age of the monitor shouldn't make any difference. The actual tower where all the working bits are is the important bit.
I upgraded to W10 because someone told me eventually mW7 would be obsolete and if anything went wrong I may have trouble finding repairs.

  6. Windows 10 fried my old computer.

    1. joeh; I heard that about other computers too, which is why I put it off, but I've had W10 for quite a long time now, with no other problems. My laptop is easily older than six years.

  7. I upgraded (?) to Windows 10 & now everything works, but at 1/10th the speed & I can't go back!!

    1. fishducky; I'm running at about the same speed as always, which isn't very fast. If I was running a business and needed faster speeds I'd have to pay up for high speed broadband, and here in Australia apparently that isn't much faster than what we've got via regular broadband :(
