Sunday Selections #617

Long ago, Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if overseas bloggers care to join us.

The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I occasionally join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

I discovered a sprouting potato in my pantry, "no-one" said it looked like a reindeer,

so I added toothpick legs and a tail, you have to imagine his head is bent down around his body.

Mr and Mrs Claus enjoying a well-earned break, choc-chip cookies and hot chocolate

My favourite card this year, "He's Making a List I've Eaten it Twice"

here I am managing to hold both twins at once, but barely,

I have too much belly fat so there isn't a lot of lap room and you can't see my Christmas T-shirt.

sleeping after a few hours playing, a new cot has been purchased as they are now too big to share this one, the new one will be pushed against this one so they can still see and touch each other.

the big photo on the right was my birthday present this year, the girls are about three months old

this one was a Christmas gift from "no-one", the girls at five months I think

the first visit to Santa

my first Nordic Gnome

and a Merry Christmas hanger. Next year he will hang on my front door.

Linking in with Charlotte for "Colour 23", she will be choosing a colour each month for the year and those who join in can post a picture of something with that colour.

January is Pine Green and the nearest I have to that is my folding camping chair.

    1. Steve Reed; thank you, Happy New Year to you too. The "reindeer" is now in a pot in the garden and growing nicely. I may even get a few potatoes from it.

  2. I also saw a reindeer! So fun that you gave it legs. The twins are cuties and it's nice to see you as well. Thanks for joining in my Colour 23 - that chair is perfect.

    1. Charlotte; I'm glad others can see the reindeer, I didn't at first. It is now planted and growing well. The twins are fast outgrowing all their tiny clothes since they began eating solid foods.

    1. Val; the twins are definitely a handful, or should I say armful. The card is from "no-one' who has a real knack for finding the perfect card every single time. Happy New Year

    1. Dora; mostly for the parents I think, the babies are too young to know what's going on.

  11. Ohhhh, I love your reindeer!
And toothpicks! Do you have any idea how many German toothpicks came to Perth?!
Always last second Ingo remembers he needs toothpicks. You get them in a pack of three and we always left two with friends.

Your doggy looks like little Henry today!

WOW, the twins really have grown a lot!!! And you look so happy - there is no better blogger-start into 2023!
What a difference. Without an adult they look so tiny still!
They get Vegemite, I assume ;-)

Can you believe I found Santa in the Bathroom AFTER Christmas?! (OK I was/am with cold/flu) - an excuse? I was SO disappointed of myself!.

Love your camping chair! I cannot join. We have only bright green!

To a colorful, happy, healthy, fun 2023! :-)
And to more Wednesday-words-stories! Please.... Yes?

  12. Iris; toothpicks come in packs of three? Here we buy them in packs of 100. The cute doggy is on a Christmas card. The twins don't get vegemite yet, it is salty and they are too young for salt.
What was Santa doing in your bathroom? Did he leave gifts of pretty soaps?
You can join the Colour 23 meme next month, the colour is white for February.
Wednesday words stories will continue through 2023 for sure.

    1. River, LOL! Toothpicks come in "3*100" as one. Three plastic-"bowls" with 100 picks each in a plastic-bag.
No idea why. As if we didn´t have enough plastic.
Oh, I was not clear enough again!
Vegemite is... more than just salty. I really tried it more than once. No. Not for me!

I parked Santa behind the clothes bin (we don´t have much space) - but yes, we do have soaps, even still from Hillarys Boat Harbour/Perth! And from Sami, home-made and yes, I store those there, also!
I really hope I have more time this year! White sounds very difficult, though!
Glad, very glad your stories will continue!

    2. I loved Hillary's Boat Harbour. For white you can put photos of snow or soap suds, white clothes or anything white.

  15. The twins are adorable. Wait until they hit 3 yr. and they will race all around you! We kept our potatoes in the cold room, and got some sprouts many times. You should see sweet potatoes .

    1. Susan Kane; I think they will race around me when they start crawling, I don't move as fast these days. I have thought abought planting sweet potatoes, but don't think my garden gets enough sunshine for vegetables. I'll wait and see how the reindeer plan turns out, maybe I'll get a small crop of potatoes, maybe I'll get nothing but leaves.
