I took my camera to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens today

to photograph the Chihuly Blown Glass art exhibits.

Walked for miles all around the gardens, and into the Conservatory too, They call it the Conservatorium, but I'm not that fancy. They had more exhibits inside there, but it wasn't free, so I paid my $12 concession fee and went in. I love it in there, but it is warm and humid.I must have sweated off five pounds at least.

After photographing all the pieces, I enjoyed a hot chocolate at the kiosk by the duck pond, then walked some more back to the entrance gates, to the city, then through the city to Victoria Square where "my" bus was expected in three minutes.

Patted down my pockets, bus pass, yes, house keys....uh oh, checked ALL my pockets and they weren't there. I'd lost them somewhere in the gardens.  Back I went as fast as my aching feet could carry me, all the while thinking where would be the most logical place. I decided the Conservatory, because that was where I'd taken off my jacket and tied it around my waist by the sleeves.

Yes! Someone had handed in my lost keys, and the attendant there had taken them to the main office in the big red brick building. More walking, ouch! So he walked me around there and I got my keys.

Then of course I had to walk (ouch) back to a bus stop, but I chose the nearest one this time and made it safely home without falling asleep on the  bus.

Photos will be shown in a few days after I recover.

    1. jabblog; my feet felt like they were on fire, but that disappeared overnight and now I only have the achy hips and knees which will soon recover. One of my children has spare keys but they would have had to leave work to get them for me so I'm glad my set of keys were found and handed in at the gardens

    1. Boud; it was a great day, not too hot and there's plenty of shade in the gardens too. The lost keys were a panic moment for sure.

    1. Jenn Jilks; a worry I didn't need on top of the other worries I currently have. Having the keys back in my hand was a huge relief.
