Musical Monday # 58

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: The Bellamy Brothers again.

Don't Put Me In The Ex-Files

I can't find the lyrics for this one but maybe you can make them out.

  1. I would certainly put him in the ex-files. And change the locks on the doors.

  2. Dwight Yoakam was a huge fan of Buck Owen; and was influenced greatly by Owen's music style. He was held in high esteem by Yoakam. Both were country performers from California...quite rare.

    Good stuff!! :)

    1. And, by the way, I thought of you when I learned about this, River. I'd also thought about entering it myself, but I don't want a trip overseas! :)

  4. Hi River,

A bit of Country music and I was going to scream Yee haaa!. However, I don't think my neighbours would appreciate that at gone three in the morning. :)

  5. Elephant's Child; perhaps she keeps him around because being married is better than the alternative? (for some people it is)

Lee; I don't recall Dwight Yoakam, although the name is familiar. I'll look him up. I've heard of the Sunrise competition, but I believe you have to be watching the show for it and I don't watch morning TV. I did once for something I wanted to see and it was less than 5 minutes right at the end of the show, so never again. I'll check the link though, thanks.

Mimsie; it is a great little toe tapper.

klahanie; awww, go on! wake them up! just once (*~*)

  6. No...you just have to write in 25 words why you'd like to see Diamond, I believe, River.

I don't actually sit and watch morning TV....but I do have it going on in the background and if something attracts my attention I'll go over a check it out and then continue on doing whatever it is I'm doing.

  7. Lee; I checked the link and it is to win a trip overseas to see Neil Diamond. I'll wait and buy a ticket for his Adelaide performance.

    1. I know...that's why I said I didn't want a trip overseas. I have no desire to travel....I thought about entering, but on the rare, very rare chance of winning...I would've given the prize away to a worthy recipient, one who was willing to travel overseas.

I'll just bring back the images in my mind to when I saw him perform live in Brisbane back in the mid-70s...while playing "Hot August Night" and his other LPs and CDs I have. lol
