You all know the ice cream company? Very expensive ice cream, which I recently discovered in small tubs at my local supermarket. I'd heard about Salted Caramel ice cream, with some bloggers raving about it, so when I saw the Haagen-Dazs tubs on sale for only $5 I bought some. I loved it! Fabulous stuff. Just the right amount of salted caramel streams to counteract the sweet ice cream. I would have rated it five stars. But just lately, I have been disappointed with the product containing far too much of the salted caramel and my rating now would be only one star. I went to the website and clicked on "contact us" to let them know I was no longer happy. The link popped up with an address to "General Mills" which I then clicked on only to find a small popup informing me they were "offline". Just because it is past regular business hours or permanently? Who knows. So I'm airing my grievance here instead. If this results in fewer sales of their Sa
The more expensive the clothing, the smaller the size tag on the same amount of fabric.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense to me too.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
As if I didn't have enough issues with clothing sizes (self-induced issues).
Pretty much.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I never understood why a t-shirt in K mart is $4 while the same t-shirt in a high end department store is $39.95. It used to be the more expensive ones were better made and kept their shape in the wash, but that's no longer true.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I could find plenty to fit me if only I were eight inches taller and built like a broomstick. My size is mostly self induced too.
Jac; it does seem like a reasonable explanation.
I always buy the same marked size, but when you hold them up together they are often a inch or two different so I end up with fat clothes skinny clothes and it will be a cold day in hell before I fit into that.
ReplyDeleteMerle...............
Merle; I have a wardrobe of stuff all marked size 16, some fits, most doesn't, a few are too big. There should be a standard.
ReplyDeleteI really hate shop dressing rooms...and I've not ventured into one for ages and ages now. I buy all my clothes online...much easier to let my fingers do the walking than undressing, dressing and undressing in cubicles. Yeah...I know...I'm weird! :)
ReplyDeleteIndia? China? Sri Lanka? Those usually determine the size for me. The best bet is GoodWill.
ReplyDeleteLee; I can't buy online, I prefer to try things on and reject them immediately, rather than wait for them to arrive, then try on and reject and still have to go through the whole return process.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane; I've found it's best to find a label or two that fits and then buy only that brand from then on.
