Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us more often. **Elephant's Child is taking a break for the month of February** Continuing our road trip, today sees us in Snowtown, a small place 100km north of Adelaide. The welcome sign has an original windmill and the new wind power generators which we saw in a recent post along the hilltops for several miles. a painted water tower the infamous "bodies in barrels" bank which is no longer a bank All Bank signage was removed a long time ago an...
Catchy. I must admit, I never saw Kelly's heroes, so this was new to me.
ReplyDeleteSharon Qualls; It's one of my favourite movies with a star studded cast. Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland...and the song is good too.
Deletea very funny movie I can recommend.
DeleteAnn O'Dyne; it's one of my favourites, I have it on a usb stick somewhere.
DeleteI never saw it, either, but I liked the song!!
ReplyDeletefishducky; look it up and watch it on a night when you have nothing else to do.
DeleteNot a song or a movie I know. Snappy tune though, and surprisingly upbeat considering his losses...
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; it's an old movie, with a young Clint Eastwood and young Donald Sutherland. The song is upbeat in spite of him having "lost everything", perhaps he has come to terms with it being his own fault.
DeleteA stirring start to our week. Good movie and good song...now I'll be marching along the aisles of the supermarket when I'm there shortly. I have a feeling this track will be on my mind all day! :)
ReplyDeleteGo forth...the week awaits!! :)
Lee; it's a good song for marching, just try not to mow down too many people as you go. Rather poor choice of words now that I think about it, but you know what I mean.
DeleteHahahahaha! They all quickly got out my way, River! ;)
DeleteIt sounds familiar, but I never saw the movie. My mom would have liked it, I'm sure. She was a big fan of the TV shows Combat, and Hogan's Heroes.
ReplyDeleteVal; possibly you've heard the song on radio? If your mum liked Combat (my dad's favourite) and Hogan's Heroes, she'd have liked this too.
DeleteI am surprised that I wasn't familiar with it either.
ReplyDeleteJimmy; I'm surprised that so many people aren't familiar with it. Surely it wasn't only played in Australia?
DeleteStill on dial up speed on my internet. Can't load the video but I know it is a good one. Will try to check back on the 14th when I have my full broadband back.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie; I remember my dial up days and I feel your frustration :(
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that I wasn't familiar with it either.
