Musical Monday # 171

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: The Ames Brothers

The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane

I think the lyrics here are clear enough to understand.

    1. Andrew; this is getting really annoying, the number of music clips unavailable. I wonder why that is? It's certainly put a damper on Musical Mondays.

    2. Yes, I've noticed quite a few of my embedded You Tube clips have gone. I can't really see any way around it.

    1. Elephant's Child; I think this may put an end to my Musical Mondays, with so any clips not being able to be seen.

  5. The Ames Brothers discovered they'd double-booked....try Dean's version instead....

    1. Lee; I don't like Dean's version as much. I'm sure it's very good, but I chose the version that's on my mp3 players and that's The Ames Brothers.

    2. I didn't mean to intrude, River...I was just playing around a bit. :)

  6. I remember that song and the Ames Brothers quite well. In fact, without even seeing the video, I have a feeling I have a new earworm for the day.

    1. Arkansas Patti; it's a good earworm, much better than something you hate.

  7. I just found the Ames Brother recording easily on You Tube and it is a great little song. You were right about not needing the lyrics to read.

  8. Andrew; it's one of my favourites, sung by numerous artists, but The Ames Brothers did it best in my opinion.
