have you ever been happy to receive an electricity bill?

This morning's mail brought my electricity bill.
I'd lost track of the weeks, so wasn't expecting it, but when I opened it, I was happy enough.

This is what it said.....

"your account is in credit so no payment required"

The pink "woo-hoo" is mine of course, they don't send out accounts with that written on them.

In credit.
Now all I need to do it keep it that way.

  3. Whoo Hoo from me, too.

How I wish that they *did* have some Whoo Hoo stamps to stick on accounts in credit.

  4. Thats nice..everyone I know has had at least one or two huge bills the second half of 2012 (Thanks Julia) I consider myself lucky that my bill has only doubled in a year....

  5. Fenstar; I used to make advance payments all the time, then I got to a point where I couldn't afford to and began dreading the arrival of the bills. Now that I'm able to do so again, I'll continue with advance payments.

Elephant's Child; it's a fantastic feeling, I get the same on my Gas bills.

Kath Lockett; I'll settle for writing it myself.

Tempo; the biggest bills always come after the winter when heaters, clothes dryers etc have been used. There's been talk of politicians doing something to force down the cost of electricity, but so far it's all talk.

  12. My biggest bills come in Winter, I use much more hot water for showers to ease my aching bones..

  13. Manzanita; sold! woo-hoo to you too then. Will you miss it?

Delores; it's great getting bills like this.

Plasman; you can do it too. Work out the weekly cost of your highest utility bill and start making that amount in advance payments. I'm sure your utility company would be happy with that.

    Lord Rochester; ha ha.

Susan; and the years will continue in this manner.

Tempo; I think everyone's biggest bills are the just-after-winter ones. Heating isn't cheap.

sleepydwarf; it's the best feeling for sure.
