Musical Monday #167

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Elvis Presley

Burning Love

a live version:

  2. Given the energy that they expend I am always surprised at any musician/performer who has an ounce of spare flesh on them.
Loved this golden oldie (which even I knew).

    1. Elephant's Child; I'm surprised too and I'm wondering if all his medications and fried peanut butter sandwiches had a lot to do with his weight. Maybe not touring or performing as much as when he was younger as well. Look at Mick Jagger from the rolling Stones, still touring, still jumping about the stage and skin and bone.
I'm glad you knew this song, it's a good one.

  5. Elvis was a great performer with a large number of fans, and even as long as he has been gone he is still loved by a large fan base.

    1. Jimmy; it's amazing how long the fans go on, there aren't many with a fan base this large after 40 years.

  11. If only Elvis had been prepared in advance for such success. But then he probably would not have been successful. He just stumbled into fame and fortune and it killed him. Love his songs to this day.

  13. One of the few singers who truly altered the course of musical history - with an unfortunate ending. Love his music.
