Long ago, Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child ( https://myjustsostory.blogspot.com.au) and I join in as do a few others. Andrew (https://fromthehighrise.blogspot.com.au) is one. Messymimi (https://messymimismeanderings.blogspot.com) is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look, Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. Lola snoozed on a cushion so covered with cat hair I'm surprised the stripes are still visible while I heated up leftover home made pizza for dinner a fold-out bunch of flowers card from "no-one" for Mother's Day, no watering needed and they will never die. A few things I saw as I rambled ab...
Talking to yourself is OK; it's when you ask yourself a question & then say "What?" that you should worry!!
ReplyDeletefishducky; oh dear, I'm in trouble. I question my questions all the time!
DeleteI've been talking to myself all my days.....contributes to that picture of me as a flaky old lady.
ReplyDeleteonly slightly confused; I tried not to when I was little, I didn't want to be thought mentally challenged like my sister who also always spoke to herself. I grew out of that of course and now talk to my self all the time. I talk to the TV too, telling it how silly it is mostly.
DeleteI talk to myself, too, but my advice is usually way off.
ReplyDeleteSharon Qualls; my advice is fine, but usually I don't listen to it. Rebellious, that's me.
DeleteThe expert advice I get when I talk to myself is always something I agree with.
ReplyDeleteJimmy; I try to agree with my own expert advice, but when it's telling me I need to cook meat and vegetable and all I really want is cream cake, I sometimes ignore it.
DeleteOf course I talk to myself - because I listen.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I listen to myself too and usually end with "what am I saying?/thinking?"
DeleteAnd I never get cranky when I interrupt and talk over mysel!
ReplyDeleteLee; me neither, in fact interrupting myself is the only time interrupting is allowed.
DeleteI wholeheartedly agree, River. I hate it when someone talks over me...and some people insist on doing so!!
DeleteHave you noticed it took me 7-1/2 hours to reply...just so I wouldn't talk over you! :)
Of course i talk to myself, i have to have at least one intelligent conversation each day!
ReplyDeletemessymimi; welcome to drifting. I used to use that excuse, but these days I'm questioning the 'intelligent' part.
DeleteHave to admit ...
ReplyDeleteI always talk to myself too!!!
All the best Jan
Lowcarb team member; join the club, there seems to be quite a few of us and I think you'll like it here.
DeleteTalking out loud to myself is how I make myself focus if my mind is wandering! Now I'll have to ask myself for some advice and see how I do answering ...
ReplyDeletejenny_o; it's a good way to rein in that wandering mind, sometimes I just let it keep wandering, see where it takes me.
DeleteI talk to myself, but my husband butts in and argues with me! Even when it has nothing to do with him, but rather something simple like steps I'm going through getting supper ready.
ReplyDeleteI say he must feel guilty about whatever he accuses me of saying about him.
Val;don't you find that annoying? You have a good conversation going with yourself and along comes anybody to put in his two cents worth.
ReplyDeleteNow I'll have to ask myself for some advice and see how I do answering ...
