Sunday Selections # 604

Long ago, Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if overseas bloggers care to join us.

The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I occasionally join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to them and have a look.

A mixed bag this week, some old, some new:

this gaily painted piano was part of something to do with art many years ago

water bowls for dogs a couple of summers ago

a very lovely motorbike

this is one of the bronze pigs in Adelaide's Rundle Mall

two more, there are four altogether

the last one. They have names, Horatio, Oliver, Truffles and Augusta, but I no longer remember which is which.

this is what my garden used to look like when I first moved in, all prickly grasses, with prickly seed heads, you can just see my frogs in the bottom left corner

here they are again

one of my favourite beach photos, sun, sea, sand and seaweed.

this week's homemade masterpiece and it was delicious

Surprise! it's me! Holding Anastasia. We had a get together in the Botanic Gardens, ten of us, including the babies, I can't show the others, they like their privacy.

here I am holding Genevieve, it was so cold I had to keep my jacket on, but so bright I had to keep my sunglasses on. I worried the "black eyes" would scare the babies, but others had sunnies on also and the twins were fine.

here they are finally asleep again after having their lunch. They got a bit overwhelmed being passed around and cried a little.

and just for comparison, this is me again, aged six months. This was my passport photo.

    1. yellowdoggranny; they are so sweet and didn't mind at all being passed around, until they'd had enough and wanted their lunch.

    1. Arkansas Patti; I like all of the pigs, but the trash bin is a good one, even the 'trash" is bronze. The pigs are often photographed with little kids sitting on them. I loved seeing the babies again and hope to see more of them before too long. Thanks for liking my passport photo, I was cute wasn't I?

    1. Lee; thank you :) It was a big day out for the twins, meeting so many relatives all at once and that was only half the family.

  7. Love the piano!
I can really bite my butt for not trying again when I had no work.
These days you even can start all over without your neigbors breaking down from your tries ;-)
Ingo got me a "keyboard"-thingy with earbuds.

Cute doggy-bowl-signs. Oh, and teh motorbikes!
Can you wish upon the pig? I saw that in Tuscany. Either way they are cute! Oh, Truffles, I still have butter in the fridge! Ingo will run away. But, by golly, I´ll get it out!

The frogs here say hi! And oh, the ocean! Hmmm, Pizza! I planned on cooking too - ended up with cheese bread every time (no complaint!) - yours looks yummy!

Great pic of you two... ummmm two twice, seesh, as cold as here atm! Curies, they are.
I hate my sunnies and even in your country I am always so dumb to not wear them as they feel as if I cannot see the real beauty! Dumb. I know.

One can clearly see you are one family!!! But why did you have a passport at that age (very cute pic).

    1. Iris; I never had a chance to learn piano, but I wish I had. Not even going to try now I have arthritis in my hands. I love the motorbikes, I used to have a little one. I don't know if the pigs can be wished on.
You can see the real beauty even with sunnies, just lift them off for a moment, then put them back on. I need them because I get bad headaches from too much glare.
I did not have my own passport, the picture was in my mother's passport when we came out from Germany.

    2. Oh. I am sorry for your arthritis! I feel a beep here and a no there...
I wanted to learn to drive a motorbike. I failed. Buhuu...as with other sports... and then, when I was really good... broke my arm and gone it was.
      Reckon this is life?
Hmmm. Yes and no. We are always but 6 weeks now are in your country and I don´t wanna miss a second!!! Dumb. But true.

  8. So glad you got to cuddle those babies, and have pictures to commemorate the occasion! Your own baby picture is precious, with that little flipped-up tuft of hair.

    1. Val; I'm glad too, we got the one dry day and took advantage. That curl brushed up over the fingers was all the rage back then. Most babies had that style, even the boys.
