Sunday Selections #690
Long ago, Kim of Frog ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
I apologise for being unable to link any sites, blogger is having problems.
"no-one" got a great photo of this month's full moon
one of the changing leaves on her pear tree
in my own garden maost of the leaves have fallen off the plum trees
and carpeted the ground below
through the trees you can see my "mushroom" which is actually a "fly agaric" toadstool, fake of course.
someone left some broken pavers at the dump site
so now they are a path through my garden
I made a toilet paper flower and sprayed it with perfume to help the bathroom smell nicer
after THIS happened, the shower drain spewed out a couple of gallons of water and a fair bit of black mould. It hasn't been properly draining for a while and plumbers have been non-existent in spite of several calls to housing. I should have one here Monday morning....
back onto the road trip R and V are taking, they spotted this cat run
a safe way for a cat to get some fresh air, you can just make out the cat in the right hand side there. NOT R and V's cat, they don't have pets.
this is Lake Argyle
which I am told holds 21 times more water than Sydney Harbour.
here it is all choppy as water rushes out (or in?)
more rough water at the other side
a distant view of the hydro dam/weir which helps to move the water
a bit of the shoreline at "Night-Life", Darwin
this is the orignal Durak Homestead, which as moved stone by stone and rebuilt in it's current position. Mary Durak is/was the author of a book, "Kings in Grass Castles"
finishing with the twins, Gen was having an off afternoon after missing her nap
so Ana was helping her feel better 💋💋💖💖

Sweet Ana helping her sister feel better. Must be nice to have a twin :-)
That sounds and looks like an amazing holiday for your brother and sister in law.
The Durack name is such a famous name in our country. Great book!
The girls are so very sweet.
Have a wonderful week ahead, River...my cuddles to lovely Lady Lola. :)
The red carpet of leaves is magical.
It is like you made the paper flower knowing that there would be a problem with the drains.
Lake Argyle is very impressive but with that turbulent water, it doesn't look too lake like.
It must fascinating to observe twins closely as they grow.
The Lake was only turbulent while the dam opened to allow water to flow out to the river or wherever it was going. So that would mean it was the river being turbulent much like myself lately with the drain issues and other stuff going on here.
I wish I could see the twins more often, but with the family coughing episodes and cold days for travelling I've stayed home a lot. I will be there next Sunday for their birthday party, they turn two!!
The linking problem was weird and I wasn't able to see pictures on any of the blogs either, not even my own. Seems to be okay now though.

I'm sure the girls will always have a loving protective bond with each other.
The twins are sweet.
Love your rose in the loo, well done.
The cat run, great idea when on the road.
Lake Argyle is amazing and yes heaps of water.
You can't do links, my comments don't go through unless I copy what I've written then refresh and paste in the comment area....that's blogger for you.
I really like the path on the carpet from the leaves of various colors.
The twins are very gifted.
The inventive cat gym.
Have a beautiful week!
I don't think I could take a cat on a road trip, it might be different if I was moving house to another state, but not for just roaming around. I'd like to see Lake Argyle for myself one day.
Wow on the moon and your garden looks lovely like that - love the stool.
I still wonder about your measurements. A nurse told me I need to go so-and-so-much feet and then turn right. Glad I watch American Football, so I had a bit of an idea!
Why foot, not meters. And now you start with gallons, by golly! Liters I have an idea of, but this? Also ordering pints, which Ingo did on airport Frankfurt. The waitress had no idea what he meant! Liters, please ;-)
The cat run is interesting. But wouldn´t it be better to take a walk on the leash? I see that sometimes on FB.
Ingo says we´d been at Lake Argyle in 1995 - I really can not remember! At least not such wild water!
The twins are so cute.
And, yes, Blogger is driving me nuts, too....
I don't know that all cats are happy walking on a leash, I would prefer not to take one on a road trip and board it in a cattery instead.
The "wild" water is because they released it from the lake to the river and it was churning.
I hope blogger sorts things out soon.
I'm sorry Housing has to wait until there's a real emergency before they will send repair persons. I've never seen a toilet paper rose like that.
Your brother and his wife are touring some fabulous places, I'm glad they are willing to share them with us.
The girls are always precious, I'm glad they have each other to cheer up.
I lost 6cm and am only 1,58m small now.... or such....
I hope for blogger getting better since... years.
